Default Sirius sound quality went from FLAT to SUPERB!!

All because I installed a new car stereo with 2 important features:

AUX input, and Graphic EQ capabilities.

Best of all, it is just a $99 stereo, and I could not be happier. I was going to post the whole installation story here, but instead I figured that it would fit into the Install Garage forum better.

Here's the link:

If your car radio doesn't have either of these 2 features, I am telling you, it is completely worth it to drop $100 on this radio.

Talking aftermarket

Aftermarket car stereos Usually sound better ,oddly I have a GM Delco in my work truck that kills a $400 flip face kenwood I tried in the truck.Since then I sold that radio. The delco has Am/fm Only and is very loud with sirius via the fm switch box ,I have 6 speakers in the truck and a sub I found all the speakers in the gabage.Driving in an urban area ,while crankin totally 70s,some homeboy shouts "I dont wanna hear that ShXX! LOL that made my day.
I tell ya,once you change the radio you'll be changin speakers and adding amps ,it gets better and better !Pretty soon George Lucas will be jealous.

Yep.. The EQ makes all the difference in the world. The Sirius sound needs to be tailored somewhat. Adjusting the tone and treble helps quite a bit, but an EQ really helps.

I have three vehicles they all have factory radios.... My GM car has the Delco radio with a 5 band EQ and Sirius sounds the best on that radio.
