Default Artist/label restrictions on Sirius?

I’ve been tuned in since Christmas and loving it. But noticed that Sirius doesn’t play the newer Pop/RB/Hip Hop songs? Anyone else notice this? It’s almost like Sirius is limited to the older stuff.

Are the record labels restricting Sirius from the new stuff? Are they helping the FM stations?

I’m turned into the right stations (I think)

Hits (most of the music they play I’ve never heard)
Strobe
Pulse
Boombox
Area 33

You are on the wrong channels. those channels are dance and electronica.

for pop, Channel 1 pretty much has that covered.

For R&B/Hip Hop you have 40-53. Hiphop nation, hot jams, shade 45, and two others who's names escape me at the moment.

Yea the Pulse has a lot of 90s songs mixed in with current hits. Although it's technically not a 90s station, it has a healthy dose of hits from that decade.
