I'm loving it. I've woken up and gone to sleep to trance for several years.

Hope you don't mind suggestions... I would like to hear more UK hard trance / hard house from artists such as Lab4, K90, Wavestorm, Jon Doe, and Roosta. Off of labels such as Tidy, Honey Pot, Hotwax, Nukleuz. Perhaps some DJ mixes from the likes as Nick Sentience, Lisa Lashes, Ilogik, and Phil Reynolds?

I would have to advice against focusing too narrowly on "progressive" trance such as PvD, Tiesto, and Van Buren. It's definately the most popular side of trance, and in that regard, should pe played a lot on the vortex. Just don't forget to dig a little deeper, or in another direction.

You're doing a great job, keep it coming!

I just want to point out something. Read the above post! See how happy upliftingsound is? See the discussion about how to buy this music?

Remember, many claim they would never pay for radio because they get it now free. I don't give a kitty cat where you live, you do not get this now for free.

Sirius. Radio WELL worth paying for.

Interpreter: Could you please interpret that last post?

Goa trance is also sweet. I've heard quite a bit on the vortex. There seems to be fine line between goa trance and psy trance. Goa seems to be made more in the 90's and is focused on a riff or melody. Psy trance is made more today, sound like it's made on fruity loops, and has a more filtered "chunky" sound. I'm more into to goa because I don't have to be on drugs to enjoy it. Just my two cents. The Vortex rulez! Well worth paying for.

I heard William Orbit Adagio for strings about 7:15pm ET last night. Maybe they've played it before but just in the last month or so I've started listening to the Vortex (and Planet dance) a lot more.

Anyway, killer trance anthem that sounded great in the dark Atlanta traffic.

Thank and keep it up, BH!

Hell yeah! The Ferry Corsten remix of William Orbit Adagio for strings makes me want to do backflips. Ferry / System F / Moonman rocks my world!

what's up, uplifting? The first time I heard the Vortex was in a BB in very early August, when I was first checking Sirius out. The first song I heard them play was Temple of Dreams by Messiah. It's more of a techno song I know, but I've neevr heard it since and was wondering a. if anyone has heard it recently and b. if it's a song they should keep in the playlist

I like that song but know some people might find it cheesy (Running Man's Richard Dawson samples) and not right for the new format, but just checking....thanks

Is that the song that has the sample "time to start ROLLING!"? Now that is old school, i think that was made in like '91. That's cool that the classics get played.

Speaking of techno, has anybody ever heard any acid techno on the vortex? Like Guy McAffer, D.A.V.E. the Drummer, Ant, User, and Choci. I love me some acid techno.

BTW, I'm not complaining in these posts, just offering up some suggestions.

Totally off topic, but that's funny you mention that since I remember when I was driving around in Atlanta I was surprised that there weren't many street lights, especially on the freeways. I figured the perimeter would be all lit up since it is such a major thoroughfare but it wasn't.

Atlanta looked pretty cool though... a lot of Dance listeners around there? I would guess that Hip-Hop would totally dominate the public's music around there but maybe I'm off...

It's actually Running not Rolling, but yeah that's the song. HAHA now a movie with Gov. Arnold in it called the Rolling Man would be kind of funny to see.

Yep, it's the city so beautiful we don't light it up. haha. If you've been on 285 (the perimeter / autobahn) you know you either go 5 miles per hour in traffic or 75 mph - there is no inbetween.

I think Atlanta has a good share of dance listeners. The city has grown so much in the last ten years I think there is enough diveristy here to support all major kinds of music. So I've never understood where there was no FM dance station but woh cares now!

Hip Hop is huge, there are 4 FM stations playing it...and that's probably why I'm not that into the Hip Hop Urban streams on Siruis (b/c that's all I've heard all this time on the radio!!)

I was at PC Richards shopping for a new deck for my car so I could get either XM or Sirius, wasnt sure which one to go with but was kind of leaning towards XM since it seems to be more established. They had a big Sirius display, I went over to it and turned it on. OMG I couldnt believe it, some of my favorite trance songs were playing on the vortex. One after the other they had me nearly bouncing in there, I had the music pumping so loud! lol

Just wanted to let you know the Vortex is definitely the best station so far. I am buying Sirius only b/c of my finding it. This is what its all about! No more buying cd's just for a few hot songs.

Two things I was hoping you guys at the vortex might consider:
Armin van Buuren has a weekly online radio segment called A state of Trance. Maybe there is some way you could get him to host it on the Vortex also? Marcus Shultz is another DJ from Miami who has a weekly segment and plays nothing but new hot tracks most people havent heard of yet. I listen to both of these shows through an online stream with winamp. I think it would be great if they could be incorporated somehow into the vortex channel. Having these two dj's would only help Sirious get a larger customer base b/c they both have a pretty big following. Being able to listen to them in my car would be the best!

Thanks Sirius for having such great people at the vortex, and thanks vortex staff for this great new station. I will spread the word!
