Default Sirius will be re-evaluating the lineup next week!!

Mods, please don't lock this thread like you did most of the threads on this board. This is not necessarily regarding The Vortex, it is about the last week of feedback regarding ANY lineup changes. Let it die on it's own which will naturally be soon.

---

To the Siriusbackstage community,

If you haven't spent a few minutes to call into Sirius with feedback regarding channel changes, this is the last week that we can call in if we have any comments regarding them. Whether you are upset with the removal of House Party, The Vortex, or whether you wanted both to go, do your duty and give Sirius some reasonable feedback on the changes this week, as they will be "re-evaluating" the CES changes to their lineup and making adjustments accordingly. If you want The Vortex back, this is the week to call in and tell them you would like them to bring it back. Same with House Party. While you are at it, give them comments about what you think of Chill, too. It will be interesting to see what happens in a few weeks based on our feedback. I personally hope and pray they bring back the Trance channel, but no matter what your opinion, spend a few seconds and get your voice heard. This is a customer-driven service, so let's help them out with their decisions:

Call Customer Care (1-888-539-7474)

Thanks folks!

Chris is there some sort of time line that no one knows about that they may possibly consider reversing changes? If so who did you get your information from?

I will certainly call again with my concerns. This also means folks that wish to see Soundscapes and Vista return should hit the phones too, if this is in fact the case.

I've heard from more than a few people that have called in that the rep said they will be re-evaluating the changes and the feedback come 2nd week of February (or "mid February"), and "make changes accordingly."

That's all I know. So if you want a channel back, this week would be the best, and last, time to really call in before this "meeting of the programmers" sort of speak.

Yet again, the customer service person says they have been getting a lot of calls regarding Vortex, and to my surprise SoundScapes. She said, if the volume of calls and emails keeps up, there will definitely be some changes soon, and that a lot more people listened to the dance channels then they thought! I also commented on the demise of House Party, I LOVE house music, but NOT what they played on house party, Vocal Disco-house is NOT the only genera! Current House, deep house.. the subcategories are endless.
Nice lady though, really didn't mind talking to me about what i thought. I think her name was chris?

On a side note: she new of this site

What makes me wonder is, you know how there are repeat channles on right now? Such as 60, its still works, it just says 'moved>62'.... maybe they kept some open just in case they needed to bring some back?

If you have anything interesting to report regarding your call, such as any comments made by the representative, it would be interesting to hear. I don't want to get my hopes up either way, however, but it should be fairly soon to see what decisions have been made regarding lineup deletions.

Default YOU CAN DO IT!

WHOA! I just called Sirius and spoke with the rep for a while...she was very very friendly. But she said that they have been flooded with requests for a return of The Vortex and Soundscapes as it was previously posted. She didn't say there were changes bieng made but indicated that changes are bieng considered.

So everyone please call and let them know we want to see stream changes! (for me it was the vortex, for you soundscapes...who knows)

ps...I called and pressed the phone keys to be directed to the sales dept.

Wouldn't it be better to call and be transferred to tech support? What would be the best department?

That could be the problem. What stream would have to go to make room? They just added- and spent bucks on promos for the new lineup. Most likely it would have to be as addition or sharing in one of the dance streams. I like the new lineup additions, so I wouldn't want one of them axed.

Do you guys even listen to the other stations? What makes you an authoritative source for what new channels rock?

For example, head over to the rock section on this board. I think every person in there thinks Buzzsaw is a joke and a waste of bandwidth. From reading there a bit, Hair Nation is about the same. I've listened to those streams and even though they are ok by my book, they do seem to repeat songs from some other streams.

This is only from limited listening and reading experience, but not everyone is happy with the new changes, most of all Dance listeners. Keep in mind, some of us came over from XM solely because of the Dance selection (and commercials) and that has now been gutted.

So since XM and Sirius are near clones now, both with similar channel lineups and both with no commercials, what is the advantage of paying more for Sirius? Hell, once point XM is going for it that I used to love is CUSTOMER INTERACTION! It's non existant for Sirius.. we get crappy form letters. I used to email the dance people over at XM, especially Blake Lawrence, and I always got a response and most often my song added. Here, it's thank you for the feedback, blah blah form letter 1864a.

I want this to succeed for more than my listening reasons. I'm also an investor in Sirius and their stock has done nothing but go down since they've announced these changes. Admittedly, XM hasn't fared much better during the period, but it makes you wonder.

So, "NewToSirius" I wasn't happy with your supposed call to Customer Support. Many of us have worked very hard to try and get our station back and it sure doesn't help when we have a 1% vocal minority yelling back the other way. I don't mind people feeling the other way, but at least have some sort of reasoning and facts behind your efforts besides just wanting to be an ass.
