Default Sirius Dance- One of the popular format discussions on SBS!

Hey Danceheads, Sirius Dance is kicking butt. Always considered the bad stepchild of the radio world, it seems SBS has alot of Dance fans. Country and Hip Hop seem to have the least posts on SBS. I wonder how this actually represents the Sirius subscribers to buy Sirius for Dance music. I think theres quite alot of them since Country radio and Hip Hop are very well served by FM. Just my thoughts....

yep. other than the commercial free aspect....why would you want Sirius for hiphop....? there are 4 fm stations here in Atlanta that play pretty much nothing but that. I guess Sirius works if you like hearing the N word 20 times per song.

and country....last time I saw an M Street Journal, there were more country stations in the USA than any other format.

so yeah, I hope people that have been disenfranchised by FM (dance fans, and hell opera fans, showtunes fans, reggae fans, etc) all flock to Sirius!

Yeah Dance is my favorite genre of music. Other then the Pulse. Seattle's Dance station is okay but not really my thing. I don't like the static and the commercials.

I can tune into Area 63 and let it go pretty much all day. I will switch to the beat. Then there is the enemy of Chill. But oh well I can delete that channel ;-)

Listen to the beat and A63 plenty and the repeats are plenty, also the two share music so its like double peats.

Well in NYC and Long Island there is no country stations but i do agree with what you wrote in general about country and hipstations a dime a dozen all across the country.
