Default What US Chart does The Beat derive its playlist from?

I've been wondering for quite some time where the selection we hear on The Beat 66 comes from. I suspect they take it from some sort of US chart, that I am not familiar with. It surely does not include the latest hits coming from Europe, or if it does, it happens after a very long time and only for some of them.
In Canada there is a BPM TV channel which shows more current Euro hits, so at least a limited number of viwers can keep track of what's current, but how does it work in the US? Which Radio/TV station or magazine is the most popular and where are programmers responsible for The Beat coming with their pathetically thin and inadequate playlist?

Some of their picks are from the Select Series on Promo Only. They play dance promos released to dance stations in the U.S. Once in great while, they play an import but its mostly U.S. dance releases. XM's BPM doesn't follow that and plays a mix of both imports and U.S. Promos. Whatever your tastes is, The Beat is a great dance hits station. Its NOT meant to be listen to all day.

I'm not saying that one should be able to listen to it every day all day. The issue is not with the repetition - of course there will be lots and lots of repetition on a station of this type. The problem is the extremely thin playlist, probably less than one third of what BPM is playing, obviously restricted to the US releases. And, unfortunately, dance in the US is a niche market.
Anyway, this answers my question. Thanks.

Area 63 usually picks up the euro releases, but even then the playlist is kinda thin. Playing trance from the past 4 years alone would be enough to prevent the playlist from repeating for a few days. Throw in a few stray progressive house tracks and you can prolly make it a week without a repeat. The Beat seems to pick up WKTU's playlist, which isn't always a good thing.
