Default KEEPE MAILING THEM

Everyone of us should email bomb them, everydy. Leave voice messages on area 33 telling thm to bring remix back. I dont really think area 33 is better than before, its the same music over and over again, with mix shows on late every night (late for eastern time) I was hoping they would have widened their playlist

I am sorry to say getting rid or Remix and not adding the great dj's Joey Rivaldo, Mike Bordes, Art Rooney , Angelo Fecci etc. to another station so we can hear them has resulted in me cancelling my subscriptions to Sirius time to see what XM has to offer. Big mistake Sirius you guys were the best and have diminished to garbage.

Default I Have to Agree..

I think XM has the better dance offerings now. I hate to cancel all four of my subscriptions, but I think I will. Having 5 dance channels on serious with literally 1 1/2 of them appealing to dance fans is absurd. It's really unfair how Boombox, and especially Chill get to stay AND having two other channels similar in format to Chill. I'm not so pissed off about losing a dance channel...I'm more pissed off that they deleted one of the most popular ones and left the true dance fans with next to nothing. Remember when this was the dance lineup on Sirius:

60 House Party
62 The Rave
63 Planet Dance
64 The Vortex
66 The Beat
68 The Vortex

Basically, if you from back then to know, they've merged 4 of the dance channels (60, 62, 63, 64) into one...SAD! And they've done NOTHING to improve programming, except for The Strobe (I'm quite pleased with that station now).

And yes, I'm so far very disappointed in what Area 33 has to offer.

Default Rolling Stones radio Extended

Has everyone seen the sirius page for the rolling stones radio. well it says " you asked for it, we've answered" They'll dedicate a channel for one single artist and keep it, like Elvis radio. I cant understand how anyone can enjoy a channel that has only one artist. Ged rid of that shit and listen to us dance fans, and bring back remix

I agree that one artist should not take up an entire channel. I think the novelty of having an all elvis channel has run it's course. Just like Elvis, this gimmick needs to be put to rest.

I feel the same way. I sent my complaint email yesterday. Both about the dropping of remix and the mix shows. starting at 10 or 11 is way to late for us who have to get up at 5:30 everyday. I told them it would be nice if there was an hour long mix here + there sporadically throughout the day. that'd break up the repetition

Default Any hear the Howard stations????

Howard isn't starting til January. So currently their playing nothing but farting sounds on the two stations. they could have left remix and another station running longer, which someone else posted. This is how Sirius wastes bandwidth.
Keep Emailing and leaving messages, BRING REMIX BACK.
I'd like to hear them play one of those calls on the air : )

well I signed up for the 3 day trial of XM online and the dance channels there are not better. actually 68 is pretty good since I like classic dance.. and as soon as the mix shows come back on the other channels it will be OK...

Default Xm's dance not as good

No, Xm's dance isn't as good. I have both servivces. The trance on the system isn't as good. I always thought Siriu's dance was better, which is why I orignally bought Sirius over XM. It's sad. Sirius's dance channels are deteriorating, if they drop Area 33, "It's over Johnny" Time to say goodbye

What exactly did they play on 60?

BTW, for the last two weeks of 62, I recorded the programming on VHS. The recordings turned out perfect. I made sure I had two weeks of the house party show. Each tape did 8 hours. Remix lives in my house.

I agree the early change is dumb. They are hyping up Howard a lot, which I guess in terms of dollars is a wise move, however I wonder if his show will be as great now that it isn't censored. Sometimes that is what makes it interesting. Broadcasting a test tone over those empty stations is a waste of bandwidth, but do you really think Sirius would waste money sending out those channel lineup cards and what not twice? Plus a second advertising campaign? That stuff costs money to them. Remix probably didn't make them anything, so it got the AXE. You think the top executives listened to it?

I agree with all of you. They should have cut Boombox or Chill. They were nothing special IMO. If I wanted to listen to music like that I could turn on Itunes and pick any one of the stations on there before I went to sleep at night. I spend a lot of time in my car and Remix was awesome. (you can't get DI.fm in your car, otherwise I think you would have something) I have sent my complaint to Sirius, but expect that nothing will be done. I bought my Sirius receiver for Remix and will probably be leaving for the same reason.

It is all about dollars unfortunately. I would have liked to see them keep Remix around until January when Howard came around, but it would never happen. I guess all we can do now is tune to those stations, turn up or receivers real loud and wish for the days of Remix.

Default Sad to see REMIX go

Sad to see REMIX go. I don't blame them for taking it away. So many complaints about it on this forum that I wouldn't doubt that was one of the reasons why they took it off. Too many complainers, waa waa waa waa. Anyone have any links from this years summit to share?
