I also have 4 receivers to my account , i have been with sirius for almost 2 years now, i had xm for 2 weeks before i switched to sirius for the dance stations, now, i'm seriously thinking of dropping sirius, burning cd's will get me more satisfied if remix goes! plus i will save 40$ a month!

I don't listen to remix or any of the dance streams much as I prefer the Rock streams more, but I can't believe they are getting rid of 62. Remix. It's one of the top 2 Dance/Electronic streams on Sirius(the other being Area 63). I can't believe they are keeping Boombox/Chill/The Beat/The Strobe over Remix. You really have to wonder if Sirius has a clue about the genre.

Losing remix sucks a lot... granted i'm not gonna cancel my subscription over it or anything but it's still a loss. The only good part about it is that maybe Area 63 will get a total makeover and many of the shows will be put on there. Maybe a different mix everyday at 8 or something like that.

As it is now Area 63 is lacking in programming... and being that remix is so full of mixes and is non stop they tend to repeat after a while. I'm also sure Remix takes up a good chunk of manpower to run since they are always updating it.

Personally i really enjoy both Boombox and Chill so i would have been disapointed if those went to.

Will they change their minds... i doubt it, but the possiblity is there since it's still another month before this changes over.

First the VORTEX now REMIX why do they always fuck with the dance channels? I am so pissed right now I want to throw my receiver out the window. Hopefully they add Louie DeVito, Riddler, Mike Bordes, and Angelo Fecci to the Beat and add Gabriel and Dresden, George Acosta, and the DJ times show to area 63. They should have mixes on the beat everyday at 8am, 5pm and 10pm if they did that I would keep my subscription if not I am walking.

There is a whole world of music out there and now they are forcing one of the variety shows out the door. Area is good but who wants trance and only trance? Not me.

I love the 4/4 beats.

Whatever we say won't matter, they did this for a reason and it's done...hopefully they bring something better to the table. That's really upsetting...My fiance' only listens to Remix...literally. She is going to be upset about this..not sure if it's worth keeping here account active. I won't cancel mine because I do like all music but house is my main love.

Like monie love said

RIP Remix :\

I guess this really isn't a big deal to me. The only time I listined to Remix was when it was Judge Jules or Pete Tong, but now we have Radio 1 to hear that on those nights.

They could just start puting specilty mix shows on 63 and other dance channels. But really this is no big deal to me.

I'm happy that Boombox and Chill are here to stay

No AAR and now no 62. 62 was my shining star.

I am so dropping Sirius.

This news has hit me like a bat from behind. How dare they remove my number one preset why do us the dance listeners always get shafted? I want to thank all the great mixers on Remix for the many great hours I got to hear them hopefully we will find you spread out on the dance channels. I especially want to thank the mixers that come on here and socialize with us listeners Joey Rivaldo, Mike Bordes, Jayskee, Justin Testa, Dom Armano, Angelo Fecci, and Art Rooney thank you guys for being part of our community and for making our listening experience a pleasant one.

First of all I think the campaign to bring back Vortex DID work, since we now have Area 63, which is more trance-heavy than Planet Dance.

Taking away Remix is kind of mind-boggling. They take away AAR and Remix but add Christian Rock and Christian Talk... thanks a bunch Sirius. Lord knows you can't get Jesus over the air.

I think I listen to Remix just about every day but I've listened to Boombox and Chill about 3 times this year. Why keep chill if they are adding both New Age and Coffeehouse? Quit taking away our fucking Dance channels, Sirius.

Default Sirius is Screwing the Hardcore Dance Fans!

Where's the logic with removing Remix? Dance fans subscribe to sirius because dance can't be found on FM in many places and we don't want it watered down either. So we PAY to hear our dance on Sirius. With removing 62 Remix, there will be five (5) dance channels remaining and only TWO (2) of them are truly what the main Hardcore dance fans listen to...the rest are for either hip-hop fans, jazzy people or pop fans or whoever that like disco. This is so so so UNFAIR! I would NEVER believe anyone telling me that Boombox gets more listeners than Remix. Maybe just maybe Chill does, but most aren't true dance music fans. They could even get rid of Chill since they're bringing back New Age. There will be plenty of "relaxing" music on sirius, but no hardcore dance...this is a CROCK OF SHIT! I am beyond pissed right now! Why don't they merge Sirius Love with Movin' Easy or Starlite with Movin' Easy or some combination of that in order to keep Remix.

Wow I would like to thank everyone for there strong support. I never in a million years saw this coming today. I don't even know how to react at this point Sirius 62 the Rave was where I was planted first then it got the name change to Remix. I have been doing mixes for so long I feel like I am going to be lost, first I am mourning the death of my grandmother now the death of a station I called home for a few years.
I honestly do not know Sirius's intentions at this point but I would like to say if I was given the opportunity to continue doing mixes for the Beat or on another dance channel I would continue to. I am amazed by all the support everyone on backstage has been giving me and I have also made a lot of new and interesting friends through the Sirius experience.

My true love is dance music and I will continue to support it no matter what happens. Once again thank you everyone for all the comments positive and negative and for being loyal listeners.

I'm pretty disappointed in the Remix cancellation, but I hope Sirius uses the opportunity to improve the other dance stations, like Area 63 (whose playlist is as shallow as a puddle).
