I talked to CS today while updating my account, and the very friendly lady said that the programming on Remix would be combined with other channels. She said the reason they got rid of Remix was there were other stations with similar programming.

With that logic they should pull half the rock channels.

Default They must forgotten to mention the deleted channels

I am sure by now everyone saw the stamp sized icon on Sirius's home page of the exciting new channel changes, If you notice all it says there is "New Channels Coming" Not one mention of the channels thier deleting. It leads us the believe we're gonna get even more than what we have. It says " Upgrading", NOT Changing!

The stuff on Remix is "covered elsewhere"?

Where else on SIRIUS is there Mixed Dance Music, 24/7??? NOWHERE.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it, SIRIUS, along with bills from my 3 subscriptions. Might as well smoke that new channel guide you want to send me in the mail, too. Maybe you guys will get high enough off of the fumes to realize this is a bad idea.

MIXED music is a staple of the dance genre. MIXED. MIXED. MIXED.

But, we could write a million letters and make a million calls and SIRIUS would never listen to us. I hate when being apathetic is as effective as bein g proactive.

Default REMIX

Information I recieved from my program manager is that Remix will be over Sept 29th. Area 63 soon to be Area 33 will be running mix shows, That channel is Trance and Progressive House. We will also be mixing on The Beat - 30 minute sets - all commercial.

If area 63 would be constant MIXING, I would be happy.

The mixing provides the flow. Song flipping blows and gets too repetitive
I haven't enjoyed sirius since this news but I'm not leaving until I see the changes....if they suck, I'll cancel.

If area 63 steps it up and has mixes...again..I'll be happy

I just got the mailer and read it just now. Remix quickly became my #1 preset after I picked up Sirius. This royally blows. I am a channel surfer when it comes to TV, but in the car when I discovered Remix, the tuner has contantly been set to that channel. WTF, am I supposed to channel surf while driving now to find the mixes I want on 3 other channels? Damn!

i too am saddened by the demise of Remix 62, but i am disappointed more to hear a lot of Boombox and Chill haters here. while i rarely listen to Chill, i would never ask for it to be removed from the lineup, because that channel could be favorable to somebody else. it's called varying taste. Boombox happens to be my favorite dance channel and I applaud Liquid Todd for doing a great job in improving this channel further, adding newer tracks and great remixes. maybe if you guys upgrade your speakers and get a decent sub, you might hear what you're missing. there's no other format that can play the full frequency of music...
i listen to Remix 62 a lot too, especially since they have been more varied recently. i hope they get to keep Groove Radio, with replays still during Monday mornings...

Because Boombox sucks and it does no belong in dance category it is the same as backspin with some horrible break beats thrown in. Have you heard the Grandmaster crap show on it?? Shout outs and talking over nothing but old school Rap station needs to be removed not Remix.
