Default WTF?! One Sirius Dance Channel???

Please tell me I am not dreaming but is there really only one Sirius Dance station now?
The whole point of Subscribing to Sattelite radio was to have MULTIPLE stations of you FAVORITE MUSIC. If one mix wasn't doing it for you, you could simply listen to another set on another one of the dance channels.
So now with one channell if you don't like it you have to switch back to FM?

Ok I know this can't be the situation, I must be lacking some information.
THis is just a temporary incovenience right? Because it would be really classless of Sirius to pull the plug on all the dance options without so much as posting a notice on their own message board.

Sirius dance customer support line is busy.
877-33-Sirius

calling to cancel now, they're putting me through 'retention"

looks like XM has at least three dance stations in addition to their version of 70's disco music.

its official. Sayanora.
Sorry Howard Stern

LOL

looks like they're quicker at canceling your account than responding to your feedback. My signal just went black not 60 seconds after getting off the phone with 'retention'.

Time to get out the Ipod.
Any suggestions on a good place to get an XM receiver at a decent price?

Default Its been fun guys. Going to XM

we laughed, we cried, we had great times on Sirius Backstage/Dance

But one electronic station for $12 is not acceptable.
Good luck to you all and hopefully I'll see some of you on XM.

Sorry Howard Stern. You were the reason I decided to go with Sirius
instead of XM to begin with. But who ever is in charge of making final decisions at Sirius in Dance is clueless. Maybe I'll be able to catch you a pod cast.

Anyone interested in a Audiovox PNP3 home and car kit?

For now it seems xm is better for dance. Too bad i don't have directv, XM will start broadcasting on directv. Anyways, please, write a letter to sirius and let them know how you feel, we need to write them as much as possible and hope they will listen. It's sad to see what's happening with the dance offering on sirius, hope they notice or probably they don't give a crap?

Hope to see you back!

Check it out Boombox sucks, the XM roady is only $50 and comes and you can get a walkman cradle for it. Plays up to 4 hours on the go!

Thanks Sirius you made my decision to get XM dance an easy one.

I am disappointed also in Sirius' decision to limit the dance content however there is still so much Sirius does offer. If the service was Ideal, I would like Remix to stay, The Beat to remain the same, and add a BPM type station that just plays current club dance hits.

There is no point in starting dozens of threads. I have merged all these together. You want to cancel and make some sort of big announcement then do it here we aren't going to do multiple threads.

Thanks...

I might be leaving Sirius also it's obvious they don't care about dance music and the dance fans mean nothing to them. I have not heard one good mix on Area 33 and miss my favorite mixers so disappointed. Time to start looking at XM equipment.

I already have both Sirius and XM, and I am not cancelling and yelling like others here. Personally, I really didn't listen to "Remix" much anyway. I prefer "the Beat" and "Area 33", so I'm still very pleased with the offerings on Sirius. (Although, I will admit that for a mainstream dance hits channel, I like "BPM" on XM better as far as the music goes. But it has no personality like "the Beat" does.).
Anyway, overall, I certainly think Sirius has a far better style of programming than XM does, and I like their more mainstream approach. Also, do you never listen to anything but one type of music. I couldn't imagine listening to one channel/station constantly. I love ALL kinds of music, so I judge Sirius by all their channels (not just on deleting one). And overall, across the board, I still LOVE Sirius and am listening more and more everyday. Satellite radio (and Sirius in particular) is still my favorite new invention in the past 20 years, hands down, and I love the programming on Sirius (even the dance stations).

I listen to all of kinds of music as well.
And XM has a everything Sirius does in the non-dance category.
And of course in Dance by eliminating a main component of the Dance genre Sirius has showed they really don't care of the consequneces.
When people do things like that you see the future.
in dance, its not Sirius.
I mean two channels in Dance? Its comedy.
and I hear XM has plans to add yet another Dance channel.

THe funny thing is that Sirius made this stupid decision and its gotten them nothing but a bunch of people being disapointed and cancelations.

p.s. I ordered the XM skifi which keeps 30 minutes of play time in memory. Awesome!
