Yeah, nice to have some good mid-day programming in addition to the nightly lineup!

I'm still in remix withdrawl, so it was nice to hear some mixing during the daylight hours. I'm still on the fence about area 33 tho. One thing I do know for sure is Freddy Snakeskin is terrible!

This is exactly what I've been talking about. One says it sucks, one says it GREAT. Dance fans just can't agree on much of anything, but everyone else is suppose to know just what they want. YEAH RIGHT!

Exactly why they shouldn't merge different styles of dance into one station, which is what they did with Area 33. House guys don't wanna hear techno/trance and vice versa. And now they're gonna have a dance show on Shade45? What a joke.

This is what happens when folks can't come together with a clear voice. Instead you guys argue about what it should be. I've seen thread after thread where someone would announce what would make Sirius dance the best. Only to have 15 other people reply, all saying something different. If you do that, it will never change. I am no programmer, but if I had to read through this forum and figure out what the majority of dance fans wanted, I couldn't do it. But the bottom line I have YET to ever see a time when everyone in this category was happy or at least didn't have something negative to say EVER! There is just no pleasing unless you have a dozen channels and that isn't going to happen. I remember when this category had 6 channels and many were still not happy.

So because we supposedly can't agree we just get to have our channels chopped down until we only have TWO left? That's f*cking ridiculous.

And you're wrong about those threads...dig them up....we have all agreed on a house channel, trance channel and mainstream channel.

Like I said if Sirius looks here for any sort of idea about what to do they would be hard pressed to go away with anything convincing to help them make a decision.

I am not digging up anything and do you really think Sirius is? Go to this thread... http://www.siriusbackstage.com/forum...ic.php?t=28226

I rest my case!

By the way, I am just trying to help you guys see all this jumping around and arguing isn't helping your cause. Do whatever you want, I was just trying to throw a little clarity into the subject, but I'll leave it alone now.

I dont think it would make any difference whatsoever if sirius read these boards. It seems pretty clear they wouldn't know real dance music if it slapped them in the face. When I tune into a supposed "all breakbeat, all the time" channel and hear hip-hop or r&b, then switch over to an all hip-hop station and hear a dance mix show, it just shows that whoever is making those decisions clearly has their head up their ass.

Can anyone tell me the name of the song that just finished on Area 33? It's great, and I don't have song titles appearing in my browser (Firefox).

Thanks,
Kiragan

It was just before the song with the kinda robotic voice and girl moaning...

Yeah Area 33 is unlistenable during the daytime hours except Fridays when Groove Radio International is on. Swedish Egil is pretty cool, I like his style. I also like the fact that he picks a good mix of known and unknown guest DJs for his show of various styles. It's nice to be exposed to new stuff as well as hear some familar stuff, I think he does a good job with his 4 hour show. I think Swedish Egil would be a pretty good programme director for Area 33.
