Please Liquid Todd, believe me when i tell you that i have better things to do , so when your saying that thoses who keeps complaining should get a hobby or get a life, thats not cool. There is a reason for all the negativity and obviously some at sirius are incredibly blind about the situation in the dance category, "you should have a look at all the posts from a few years back" and have a look at when all the negativity started, to give you a clue it ended with the vortex and started with boombox and chill.

your hatred for boombox and chill comes from your anger about remix getting axed. people keep blaming the new stations. well calling for the end of boombox is going to get fans of that station pissed off. instead of whining about the new stations, suggest constructive ways of improving the stations that are already there and are probably not going anywhere anytime soon.

idea! more remix shows across ALL the dance stations. and not just at the late night hours when most people are in bed.

idea! more deep house and more interesting trance on area 33. add classic techno to the mix.

idea! hip hop on boombox should be moved to a nightly show so those that dont care can just turn the channel for that period. add a weekend show for drum & bass and jungle. it IS a breakbeat channel, but it fits here more than anywhere else.

idea! liven up the selection on chill a bit. a lot of it is a bit too ambient for people it seems. more trip-hop (portishead, massive attack) and music like the Orb.

Not that Liquid Todd needs defending, but some of you really need to move on to something else. Hell, even I've voiced my displeasure to him over the Hip Hop played on Boombox. But at least if you approach him in a respectful and non-combative way, he will be mroe than happy to talk to you about the issue.

It's still tough to listen to Boombox during the day for me, because even though Todd (and others) think that some hip hop is breaks, I still don't like the music. Throw out the lyrics and play some instrumentals if that's where the meat of the song lies

That said, boombox makes up for its hip hop shortcoming by pumping out some slamming songs and shows! The moment I heard that Icey was gonna host his own show, I called up and practically screamed my support. Icey, Baby Anne, Brad Smith, etc are huge down here in Florida and it's good to hear that stuff played on Sirius.

I don't always agree with the programming on Boombox, but it's a helluva lot better than FM and there are quite a few times when I enjoy the station. It's too bad some of you are so hung up on being asses about it instead of rantinig anonymously on a message board and driving away the Sirius staff.
