Default When did Hot Jamz start playing edited songs????????

I turned to Hot Jamz to listen to Young Jeezy and it was edited(all the "explicit lyrics" we blocked out). Last time I listened to Hot Jamz was like a month ago and everything was uncensored. What happened??? :\

bah I just sent them an email about playing radio edits. Usually when nothing I like is on 1 of the hip hop stations, I could turn to Hot Jamz and hear something I could listen to, but I rather listen to the Sirius preview channel than radio edits.

hmmm

They're playing LL Cool J- Doin It right now and it's not censored.

I got an email from a Customer Service rep saying they passed my email to the program director.

I was listening yesterday 08-05-05 and the lady DJ (sorry forgot her name) was getting annoyed at all the nasty emails and phone calls shes been getting over the swtich to edited material. She said she understands our pain over the edited material but suggested "there is over 100 channels and go to hip hop nation if you want uncensored" I think its totally wrong since we pay for this service and its not free to air. If I want edited material ill listen to the radio or to the awesome hip/hop R&B stations that webcast. IF it does not change soon I will start a online petition if one hasnt been started already.

Tre Renee.....

I'm surprised Sirius has made the switch to edited. That sucks and I doubt they will change their mind....

I sent them an email and they said try other stations. So basically that means I'm paying $13 to listen to what I can listen to on terrestrial radio. With the exception of 2 or 3 other stations like shade45 and hip hop nation. I dont agree with this at all. Thats like paying for cable channels and watching the same shows that are on the networks.

hip hop nation doesn't play those rap/r&b crossover tracks. I'm pretty sure I can't hear Trapped In The Closet uncensored on Slow Jamz

I doubt it'll matters unless we bombard the guys in charge with phone calls and emails. I'm still trying to figure out why they did this. Did people complain it was no "family-oriented" urban station like XM's City? 1 reason I came over to Sirius cause I couldn't stand all the censorship on XM and FM. Hot Jamz should just change formats and play all new R&B stuff.

hmm I've heard 2 50 Cent songs and both were uncensored yet the song before "Give Me That" was chopped up.

Tonight i heard little john uncensored followed by Jay-Z' Izzo and it was cut to shreads

Hip hop nation and hot jams do not play the same music, so if Sirius wants to have a station that plays censored stuff so they can sell it to the corps, i am okay as long as they give us the listeners the stations we want. Make the clean ones a low bandwith stream and hell they can even sell commericals on that one, cause I'll never listen to it, but give us the choice.

We have a choice with raw dog and what ever the other one is called, just do the same with the r&b. Call it Hot Jams and Censored Jams.

Yea, I just heard a Jay track that was ripped up so bad, it was difficult to listen to. They keep saying go to HipHopNation for the uncensored version, but I've never heard 1/2 of the rap tracks played on Hot Jamz ever played on HipHopNation mostly because HHN plays newer stuff and Hot Jamz plays stuff from 1999-today.

This is disgusting. They could've killed off Heart and Soul for a commercial/ family friendly station, but noooooooooo.
