Maybe I did something wrong.
Try Earth, Wind & Fire. Playing around with that song search I noticed that one of my fave bands WAR is (so far) the ONLY artists to get played on almost all the Sirius music channels (except Country): Rock, Pop, R&B even Jazz.

If you ask me, they should be played on a lot more different stations. And different songs .

EW&F are played on the following channels that I know of: Heart & Soul, Soul Town, Jazz Cafe, Totally 70s, Sirius Super Shuffle, Big 80s, The Strobe, Starlite, Sirius Love, and Radio Margaritavelle,. Thats a pretty good cross section of channels IMHO.

Yeah, I know that is a cross section of stations, but it's usually for the same three or four songs. As you know, EW&F made some incredible album tracks and instrumentals that showed them to be more than a singles band. The same with WAR, the Isley Brothers and Curtis Mayfield. There are Parliment/Funkadelic songs that are unbelievable. That's why there should be a "deep" soul channel, akin to "The Vault". Minnie Riperton did more than "Loving You" and Donnie Hathaway was for than Roberta Flack's duet partner. A whole lot of music needs to be discovered.

That's exactly what I want to hear. I fully support having a channel of that caliber. Sirius needs to overhaul the R&B channels and get afficienados to do the programming.

BINGO!!! Thats is exactly what Sirius did have 2.5 yrs ago, in The Express. It was a deeper soul channel, old skool classics- not just playing only the bigger, most familiar ones. That is what I have been on the bandwagon about for the last 2.5 years (to no avail). Please write, email, call or whatever it takes, to the Sirius honchos that this IS Missing!!

Joe, I would like to see this deep soul channel in addition to a nasty, low down, gut bucket funk channel! I know that's asking for waaaay too much, but it could be done.

Careful V1ru5, one might think we are greedy to want more than 2 adult r&b channels!!! Imagine having 3 out of the 68 music channels, unreal!!

Ya, I remember it well. For those who were early adopters like AZJoe and myself and remember this stream, I'll tell the rest of y'all that missed out the Express was a non stop R&B old school party jam stream that blew XM's equivalent (The Groove) right out of the water. The Express' imaging, playlists, on air talent and old school artist interviews were nothing short of spectacular across the board. I could listen for days on end and never tire of that stream.

My iPod does a decent job of mimicking the old Express stream musically, but it's not the Express :\ Sirius, Sirius, Sirius, what in the hell were you thinking when your powers that be decided to kill this stream?

In the words of Florida Evans: "DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!" I'm so sorry I missed The Express! Who were some of the air personalties? And what unbelievable reason did the cancel it?

What in the world kind of drama do you get? 1 channel devoted to one of the most influential musical styles. They have entire channels devoted to the most fringe musical styles (Garage, JAM, Elvis?) I smell politics and bureaucracy. And like I said before, I escaped terrestrial radio because of that
