Default What's Better? 66 RAW on XM or Hip Nation and Shady?

All the uncensored hip hop channels from both services. What's you guys take on these? I'm a dual sub and from what I analyze, Raw plays more album cuts and a lot of artist that you don't seem to hear or have heard of, while Hip Hop Nation and Shade sometimes overlap each other and play more of the noted songs and artists. The mix shows on Sirius are way better than XM's that's for damn sure. Just curious to know what everyone else thought.

I think that in terms of playlists, the three are pretty close, with Raw maybe getting an edge, just because of deeper album cuts (but they also play more commercial songs than HHN or Shade, so it evens out...). However, once you throw the mixshows into play, Raw doesn't stand a chance against HHN or Shade45. It doesn't come close.

It goes to the crux of the whole XM/Sirius debate: Generally (flame-retardant post here) XM's playlists are deeper in terms of playing tracks from certain artists that aren't as mainstream as others, while Sirius plays GENERALLY the better known tracks.

As Ryan said above, the mix shows, regardless of your opinion on the above, make Sirius far better.

IF it wasn't for Howard I would not be with Sirius, Raw was the shit. I would leave it on 24/7 & it was always good.

I had XM for 3 years and RAW was my Favorite Leo G is the shit and they were always playin some solid new shit, however when I finally decided to get SIRIUS last year I have totally got to say that Shade 45 buts 66raw to shame they have a lot more shows on Shade45 where as XM just played alot of music so I guess it just depends what your into music or content plus music. My vote goes with SHADE 45, then HHN, then 66Raw

I was actually in a friend's Acura last night listening to Raw and they played The Roots followed by Little Brother, then Wu-Tang. I have never heard those three in a row on any Sirius hip-hop station (they barely play The Roots and Little Brother as it is, two of my favorite groups). I might have to sample it a little more, but I think I might become a dual sub because all the new "mainstream" rap that Sirius plays is garbage.

I will keep Sirius however for the mix shows (Premier, Afromentals, Extended Drunk Mix and a few others), plus Howard.
