It is all a matter of opinion, but 32kb vs 128kb, that pretty much says it all for music. I think the talk channels are like 48kb so they are better too.

Why not just get it and if you don't like it cancel it after one month. I mean what will it cost you but $2.99?

I use mine on the SL2 via Internet Radio, so it is WELL worth it to me. Some actually stream it at the higher bitrate via their iPod Touch too.

Yes, yes and yes! In fact the sound quality is superior to the sat. signal.

DAB has a good point too. Try it for one month and if you don't like it your out 3 bucks. I tried it out last year and have never turned back.

Glad to hear you made the jump! The sound quality really is superior. The price is very reasonable and I hope they continue to offer the service post-merger.

I think your suggestion of offering the Premium Internet as a trial is also an excellent idea. Maybe they could offer it with new subscriptions down the road? I would email customer care with your suggestion. You can use the link at the bottom of my signature.

I haven't heard anything credible as of yet. I guarantee that as soon as some news becomes available about 50 forum members will be ready to post about it. So check back often.

I have to chime in with a big +1 for the premium Internet subscription. I have a Sonos system, so the premium sub integrates with that. Plus, now I have the ability to listen on my computer too. The sound quality is much superior to a regular Sirius radio and the regular online stream. Not CD quality, but highly recommended.

I have 3 SIR Premium accounts for a household of four. I may need to get a fourth premium sub.

Yeah...if I had one "complaint" it is that with my Sonos system, you can't have multiple Sirius streams playing at the same time (Sonos is a multi zone system). I understand the reason for it, but it is a bummer. I can play the same Sirius stream in multiple zones, however. If you try to play multiple Sirius streams, it will bump the other stream off when you hit up the second one...and you can't have mutiple Sirius subscriptions on one system.

I'll live with that limitation though. I would not trade the Sonos for anything.
