Default Did XP SP2 Load Affect My Ability to Listen Online?

I received the same error message (it actually says "100% of 1K") since Monday, 10/2. I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that my employer did a XP SP2 software delivery to my station and it's either affecting the proxy or firewall settings, but I'm just guessing. I also have XP administrator rights at work.

I've had months of working at the same work station without any incident. I have no problem logging in at home on my laptop and listening. I'm using Windows Media Player 9.0, and just like everyone else, Sirius customer service is of no help. Well, at least they're not sending our calls to India...yet.

If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

Uninstall WMP9 and then reinstall it. Otherwise install WMP 11

Default Upgrading to WMP 11 Worked

Thanks for the tip; it worked! Too bad Sirius doesn't have enough sense to even recommend this.

One thing that tipped me off in your above post is the installation of SP2.
Sometimes, back in the NT 4.0 days, after installing a service pack, you sometimes needed to reinstall drivers.
Anways, glad I could help both of you.

I had the same problem. It also affected Replay AV. I'm running IE 6 and I do NOT have Windows Media Player installed, but installing the Windows Media Player plug-in worked for me. This is on XP Pro SP2.

I know it says it's for Netscape Navigator, but it still worked.

By the way, I had no problems with the player in Firefox or with the Yahoo widget.

The streaming is not working for me within the mss software program. I can login to the website and it works fine, just now within the most useful application for the s50 or the stilleto. I am really teed off about this. I am not a fond believer in spending mega bucks for something that doesn't funcion.

I have had Sirius since the 10th of November. I subscribe to the full service and have it in my truck. However I would like to listen to the free online service I am also supposed to get. The online player however won't accept my log in and password. I have read some other people here have had that problem but I didn't see anyone getting it resolved. I know its the right login because I can log into my account. Sirius isn't responding to my e-mails and when I call I get put on hold until they drop my call. This is the worst customer service I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!! What the hell is wrong with them? Anywho, does anyone know what I can do to correct my problem. I can't get ahold of Sirius so if anyone has a fix I would like to know.

Default Trouble logging in

For the past month or so, I have not been able to log into my Sirius online player. It keeps telling me the username and password are incorrect and even when they send the the password, it's still wrong. I even tried to sign up for the 3-day free trial, and that wouldn't let me log in either. I truly have no idea what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have XP and I have both IE and Firefox on the computer. I usually use IE to log onto Sirius online though.

Still not able to login to the online player. Sirius is still ignoring my phone calls and e-mails. I have never been treated this way before by any company. This is the worst service ever. I am definitely switching to xm at the end of my 3 month payment period. I am done with Sirius. The online player wasn't even that big a deal yet they can't even respond to me and acknowledge that there is a problem or listen to my dissatisfaction. I have tried everything to get my log in to work and nothing works. Maybe if I could even get a hold of them on the phone but no, that would be too much. What in the hell is going on?!?!?

Talking Online Streamer not working

People... The easiest way to fix this is to go onto your acct and re-send the signal to your unit. Is that simple.

Well, is no that funny, when you 're-send' the signal, the internet access will be reset with the SID as well.
