I just wish it had an artist alert feature and that you didn't have to install it because my computer at work is locked down.

Is the stream available through Firefox? It requires additional plug ins that I can't find. Anyone?

I'm using firefox and music's running right now. If you have your players integrated (starts up win media player in my firefox on its own) the other plugin shouldn't matter, I would guess it displays ads, as usual.

Default list of songs played

Is there anyway that you can see all the songs instead of just the last 5 songs heard. If there any way that I could get a list of songs playing on a specific channel.

why does my desktop, which is connected directly to the router keep having dropouts where it goes to buffering, and my laptop, which is connected to the same router, but wirelessly, never has drop outs? what settings should i check? i am running win xp home. this happens with both the widget and sirius player. i am using a cable modem connection, roadrunner.

Default Can't Listen Online

I click on the Listen Online option on the Sirius homepage and it says "Transferring data from cdn.sirius.com..." and it stays like that forever. This has been going on for several hours. I had it open for a few days before I shut it down this morning.

Is the server down or something? The window won't open.

Default Lets me login, but nothing will play. Nada. Nothing.

After I log in it looks all sweet and innocent and freshly ready to go, but after I click on a station, the little window that usually says "buffering... %" goes blank, and there's an immensely long wait, and then finally an error message pops up:

"Cannot open the file. Verify that the path and file name are correct and try again."

It does it on every single station. It has done this for two weeks straight, and suddenly last night, it worked. I thought my problems were gone as mysteriously as they had come (I use the online player, like, every night). Then this morning, same thing. I've called the Sirius people and they have absolutely nothing to tell me. I'm on a Mac (Tiger OS X) and I've tried using both Safari and Netscape. I have the most recent versions of Windows Media Player and Flash for Macs.

Is this happening to anybody else, or just me? Do I need to adjust some of my settings, or does this sound like a Sirius problem?

Yep.. Ive have seen this also. I have two Macs. All current OS etc. One works fine but the powerbook gets the same messgae you do. The only possible thing might be a recent security update. I think this issue started at that time. Any info you have would be a help

you can contact me at

Wow, sorry, I'm no wiser than before. It has recently started working again, but not consistently. Problem is, I don't even know who to ask. I have Apple Care, but since it's not their product, they won't help. (I think, anyways. I've called 'em on stuff like this before, to no avail.) And SIRIUS seems to want to ignore supporting their online player altogether, since the customer service person told me there was "no one to talk to." ?

I'm sorry I'm no help. Maybe the Apple Care people would at least know if that security update COULD'VE affected things, even if they can't troubleshoot specifically....

Post Working on website

I called Sirius today for the same problem. I have not been able to log in for a few days now. They say they are working on the website and will
be back to normal in the near future (hours, days, weeks, who knows..)
They also said they have had luck with changing your user name by adding a number to the end of it. If I am lw51 then changing to lw512 might work.
I think Ill wait till they fix it, dont need another new nic to remember.

Question Streaming just stops?

Does anyone else have issues where the music stream just all of a sudden stops? I constantly have this issue using either FF or IE. Also get lote of buffering throughout the day and it is not a connection issue on my end as I have dual bonded T1's here at work with only about 500k peak traffic.

Talking Firefox question and sirius online

Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone knows a fix for this screen shot here. The player is running fine, I just would like to see the last 5 songs played. It's driving me freaking nuts.

What is the mystery plugin? I have about 30 plugin's running in fox and yes I have every adobe product loaded into it and I'm running media player 11!! 10 didn't work either. :P

Any help?

I've been experiencing that for some time. It happens no matter if I'm using the Widget or the Online Player. I'm using IE6 in Windows XP Office, in a corporate LAN. I know our LAN has a hiccup every once in a while so, I've always assumed that was the problem. But, some days it can go all day with no trouble. Other times it's a constant headache.
