I went back in and tried changing it back to my original username and password, and once again, the Online Player didn't work but My Account did. I then changed it to a different username (different than what they set it to) and with that one both work again.

So, it was just something screwed up with my original account. Resending the activation signal did nothing regarding the Online Player.

Thanks for the ideas though, this was a weird problem and I still dont understand why the couldnt just re-activate my original username, but oh well, it works now.
Sometimes you have to have customer service reset your username, and password. Usually a reset will fix it.

The Sirius Plugin has to be the worst piece of software I have ever used. I have installed this program on my work PC and my home PC. The software has completely corrupted windows media player. It takes forever to "load". It works about 50% of time I try to use it. It "crashes" Windows Media Player all the time while also causing it to "freeze" up.

I understand that this Plugin for Windows Media Player is new, but it is simply unacceptable. You folks need to work very, very hard to create an alternative, similar to the Howard Stern Media Player, that allows SUBSCRIBERS to access ALL the Sirisus channels WITHOUT relying on Windows Media Player.
WMP 11 seems to be problematic for a lot of things. Rolling back generally does not fix the problem. My guess is that 11 is causing the problem.

Oh, if the plugin is slow or you have problems with it - its because your computer is slow and you have problems with it already.

Good luck, find something else for free that sucks this bad and tell me about it.

Default 2 issues: "Cannot open file.." msg on Mac and 45 minute timeout

OK so I've had this happen on various Macs (10.4.8). I'll be listening to a channel, and decide to change to another station, say after an hour. I can' seem to find a pattern, but many times I'll get the "Cannot open the file. Verify that the path and filename are correct and try again." message. This FAQ from Microsoft doesn't seem to help. Any idea what's causing this?

Now, the 2nd issue is, when I'm home, I record the streams, e.g., via Total Recorder, to listen to, for example Howard or Bubba the next day on my train commute. But in the past few days, I started getting that 45 minutes timeout, with the "Are you listening?" pop up. I use a PC w/ Firefox. Is there a work-around? Should I try some of the other players like the one referenced here?

Default Online listening

Hello all.

I am trying to listen at work on my laptop.

Online listening works fine if I am on the wireless network. But if I try to connect through the wired network, I cannot hear anything. The player tries to connect then times out (I guess) and displays "READY," but nothing plays.

Any thoughts?

Default paid for premium getting 32k

So I decided to pony up and pay the $3 a month for premium.

When I use the website to play my music and hit the "premium" icon it refers me to another webpage and tells me to "sign up" for the service.

It says I have it in my account already.

If I use the widget and click the high quality radio box, it tells me I don't have the service!

I called CS and they told me I have it and there's nothing they can do! (how's that for great CS). So i tweaked things and resent cookies etc etc etc... tried a different computer... and still the same... until finally I was locked out for the day...

I pay for this service and they lock me out after 10 logins in a DAY? I have a crappy connection at times and I am required to log in more than once a day... Lord I hope this doesn't become a persistent issue.

But back to the problem - any talismanic words i can convey to the CSR to get them to turn my high quality streaming on?

thanks!

I recently got A new computer and DSL. The player sounds great and it's good to listen to channels such as BBC News or NPR but just curious how they got CNN?
