Angry One Latin Channel Now?! XM Merger=Bad for Choices

I'm extremely disappointed that Universo Latino Ch. 82 was removed from the Sirius lineup. The only reason I obtained a second subscription for my wife was because of Ch. 82. Rumbon Ch. 83 was sometimes listened to but 82 had the best content for both of us.

Now we only have Ch. 83 Caliente and so far I have not been too impressed. Ch. 82 and Ch. 83 were two different genres and need their own channels and should not be combined. The new FAQs state that the number of channels has not decreased...they only shuffled around numbers but took away something that worked for many.

Why is it that there is only one Latino (the other so called Latin/World channels don't count because I've never heard any Spanish music on them and the Latin should be removed from the label) music channel? The Latino music scene is as or even more diverse than the English scene. Why does Canada get more channels?

The lack of Spanish music programming because of the merger is making me think twice about keeping my subscriptions. I'm also pulling my recommendation for switching to satellite in the DC/Baltimore area because 99.1 FM El Zol now plays better content than satellite. And in NYC there is absolutely NO reason to get SATRAD if you are looking for Latin content.

Looked at the XM lineup and they have Ch. 85 Caliente. Hmmm the same channel for both services. Anyone know how many Latin channels were on XM before the merger? Maybe three if I remember correctly? Some simple math of 5-4=1 tells me that I'm getting a LOT less than what I'm paying for. Typical for most companies that merge (yeah they have to make money but at the expense of the stupid customer that takes what they get) is to take two entities, grab what they think is more profitable and get rid of the rest and charge you the same or more for less. = PROFIT!

Once they ef with Lithium, Alt. Nation and First Wave I'm outta satellite for good.
