This is a much better channel than XM's AudioVisions. A few monthes ago I finally broke down and subscribed to XM just for AudioVisions. It turns out that that channel is much too Spacey for me. Not a total loss though, I discovered Sunny and really enjoy that at times.
For the most part I have always liked Audiovisions on XM, but there are times that it is indeed just way to spacey. I much prefer Spa 73. Like you I also enjoy Sunny and this is why I wish they would turn Moving EZ back into this type channel as it was originally when it come on.

It's Sunday morning and I have on . I got into this habit when we only had Soundscapes on Sundays. I now have to get used to having this great station all the time

a friend queued me into this channel the other day, wasn't one of the new stations that i had gotten around to listening to.

i am a huge fan of Chill 35, of which i thought 64 sounded much cooler during the song breaks, but spa 73 is definetely a new preset, A6 to be exact. this is the kind of music that i can just leave on for hours, and the stuff i like to fall asleep too at night.

great addition sirius, great to have "soundscapes" back 24/7!

I just have two requests: Space music and more Enya.
I'm right there with you, New Age is a total guilty pleasure of mine too. I'm surprised at how much I've enjoyed Spa73 so far, I really didn't thing I'd ever make it a preset, but sure enough, I have.

I'm also with you on the space music and Enya.

I have switched from Audiovision/Nightvision on XM for sleep to Spa 73. Really enjoying it.

Well, I have listened for a few days & I'm back! Thank you Sirius, for listening to all the voices urging the return of Soundscapes! Spa 73 is playing many of the same songs that were heard on Soundscapes. I hope that many new songs & artists will be thrown into the mix, as there are so many great new age artists out there. For now, I am loving the return of new age music on Sirius! Now-everyone into the spa!

Yes that makes two of us. I actually like this mix better than the spacey stuff that is on XM. Sometimes that music forces me to turn it off as it just sounds the same and it just goes on and on. But I do like the nature sounds, thunderstorms, waterfalls, rain.

Welcome Back Andrew!

I like the channel. It definately will become a preset(when I figure out how to do it). This is my chill at home music after work at home or rainy day weekends.

I think it is alright to group it with the jazz channels. it is a different genre but the vibe of spa 73 more fits the vibe of the jazz channels rather than the vibe of the electronic/ dance channels.

I hate when I am in the mood to hear a certain vibe of music and then I hear another vibe when just flipping through channels. For example, When I am relaxing I dont want to hear hip hop, rock, dance music. there is a time for that but not when Im relaxing. Thats why I am glad they group it in the jazz channels. I can always flip up a few channels to 71 for a change.

I agree. Both "Spa 73" and "the Jazz Cafe 71" are on my first band of presets and are my channels for chilling out and relaxing. Glad they are near each other and both are really great channels. I also think that the new age channel fits in well in the jazz category. After all, when the smooth jazz format first started out in the late 80s/early 90s, they used to play new age mixed in with the smooth jazz on most stations. Most smooth jazz stations have since dropped the new age and world music though and moved more toward R&B influenced smooth jazz and vocals. Anyway, I like both a lot, and having both "Spa 73" for new age and "the Jazz Cafe" for smooth jazz are perfect. These are definately both in my top 10 Sirius channels. "Jazz Cafe" has been there since the beginning and now "Spa 73" is definately in my top list of channels now too.

Default Velvet Couch

The "Velvet Couch" program every Sat. eve at 10 pm ET on JazzCafe is an interesting hybrid for New Age and Jazz listeners--you'll hear "smooth electronica" as well as Brubeck, etc.

Do not compare Spa with Sonny, they are different genre.
I prefer Spa to Audiovisions except for when I need to sleep.
More to my liking than Chill.
My LMT significant other says this really is "spa" type music.
One of my top half dozen Sirius music channels and one of my top dozen satellite radio channels in the U.S.
The others include the Sirius and XM classical channels and XM Fine Tuning and Cinemagic.
