Default The Globe, Where is the Music?

Althought I love the Stones I would like to hear some international music. Anyone out there know when the Globe will play international music? I thought the Stones were supposed to be gone by the 29th.

Yes, please stop playing the Rolling Stones already! I would like my World music channel back please! Not only that but they still have this on the "The Globe"'s web page:

"Horizons is Under Construction!
Don't worry, Soundscapes and the world music that you love returns to SIRIUS soon. During the construction, Larry Kirwan's Celtic Crush can be heard on SIRIUS Disorder // Ch. 24. "

Don't they now have a "soundscapes" channel full time! Spa 73?

Wake up Sirius!

No, that was a from the start supposed to be a full time channel. This however was supposed to end days ago. The channel was even renamed during the last channel update.

The stones need to roll on already! Sirius needs to hold itself to the deadlines it publishes. This happened with Radio 1 and now it's happening to The Globe. Sirius clearly stated that the Stones were over september 29th and then reniged. It's just not very professional IMO.

It was also unprofessional of Sirius to hijack a channels format virtually unannounced like they did with Horizons. Although I'm not too fearful of it, I still can't help but wonder where does sirius draw the line? After all, what's to stop them from turning Octane into the Mariah Carey channel for a month?

I think it's just very disrespectful to those who enjoy the type of music that Horizons/The globe caters to.

Exactly. They also took over a channel that carries music that cannot be heard elsewhere on the Sirius dial. They could have at least had the Stones take over a Rock channel....

They dis anyone whose music preferences don’t revolve around Rock or Country. I doubt they would ever change Octane into anything.

“Listen for the AC/DC retrospective on Sirius80 SymphonyHall during the month of January. “

“Tune into your favorite mix of rockin’country and christian-alternative on the new CrackerbarrelRadio (Fans of the former JazzCafe will still be able to hear their favorite Smooth Jazz on Broadway’sBest).”

Six months after I got Sirius, they deleted most of their best music channels and replaced them with the worst (Sept 29, '05). Hense I got XM on Oct 21st and doubt I'll be renewing my Sirius. I can't support a service that mimics commercial-FM.

Huge demand from the listeners? How did they gage this? So your telling me that about 450,000+ listeners contacted Sirius to tell them how much they love the all Stones channel? I'm sorry but I'm a little skeptical. I think it's time sirius creates it's own version of the arbitron diary so that way they can accurately asses what channels and times frames an individual listens. After all, people can say they love the Stones channel, when in fact, they only spend an hour a week listening to it.

Totally agree with all the posters.

The Stones channel must go ... bring back what you advertised and the GLOBAL VILLAGE.

I see the e-mails everyday to back up my statement.
