Cool Name of Santana song and album.

Was listening to Planet Jazz before and around christmas 06' and on a few occassions heard an instrumental Santana song that I must find the title of and album on which it appears. It was fairly fast paced for santana and very 70's jazz fusion rock/latin orientated. The structure if I remember was modal. The guitar played the melody line which was very simple and catchy. Only two changes opening line on guitar for 4 or 8 measures then the second line dropped to a lower key for 4 or 8 measures then back to the first. can't remember much else. i'm sure the rest was split up with solos.

Please help me find the name of this track. it's amazing.

Thanks,

Martin

Did it also have a brief organ solo? Could've been Samba Pa Ti.

Samba Pa Ti is pretty slow.. They play another Santana song on Planet Jazz called Song of the Wind. It's an instrumental as well and is more upbeat... That might be it

Song of the Wind is off Santana's album 'Caravanserai'

Smile Santana song

"Song of the Wind" sounds familiar. I'll have to check out some sample clips
of that and "Europa" on allmusic.

Thanks for the help!
