Well, you maybe right, but I am missing some channels on XM. So, this is a good way to get both a new P&P and XM.

i love when people say this, it means a shiet load to me since i have money in this dog

i wish they would just start listening. theres a bunch of subscribers yelling in one corner for this and this to happen and then we have the sirius execs in the other corner with their backs to us asking each other what needs to be done, who should we hire to tell us what to do or what needs improvement, blabla. maybe we should shorten the playlist even further etc etc

Let's try this one more time.

Say you put $1500 in SIRIUS (or 1.5 million, if it makes you happier). Put the same amount in XM. You have, at the end of the day, assuming no price change, the same dollar value, even if one is about 100 shares and the other about 1000. The number of SHARES means nothing. Nothing at all. You must know both the number of shares and the total amount of shares outstanding to know what you have. It is a fraction, a fraction of YOUR ownership. If, for instance, there were ONLY $1500 worth of SIRIUS to be bought, your shares would be ALL of SIRIUS, whether there were 1 of them or 10,000,000 of them.

Now, SIRIUS has many, many, many more shares outstanding than XM. Of course each share costs less. But you can't look at Sirius's share price and XM's share price and say XM is worth more.

Get it?

Default Repetition on Organic Rock (Stream 24)

I just subscribed to Sirius last week and have noticed a lot of repetition on Organic Rock (Stream 24). I'd guess that, after listening for about twelve hours, I had heard one song four times and a lot of songs twice.

I haven't listened enough to know what they are playing in slower rotation or what the turnover of music is over weeks and months, but I am worried that the repetition might be enough to make the stream boring in the long run.

If listeners like radio stations with tight playlists and frequent repeats, they can get them for free on the FM dial. Satellite radio is not going to attract subscribers by offering them what they can get for free.

I'm aboard with the one-year plan and am not planning to cancel, but I'll e-mail some feedback to Stream 24 and Sirius.

Sending feedback is smart.

I do, however, disagree that the same product is available free. Commercials__OFF is a huge advantage.

But less repetition would be a very good thing!

Not to mention fewer drops, coast to coast coverage and no static.

That's true, but the point is you can't buy XM for $1 now. If you were smart enough to buy it when it was $1 and held till now you would be happy.

But on this day, XMSR is 13.13 and SIRI is 1.58. You just have to decide which is more likely to increase by the highest percentage over your investment period, and invest your lump sum into that stock. I have my money on SIRI for the long term.

If this shit doesnt stop........Unwell 8 times in 3 hours, on both US1 and the Pulse, FREAKIN HILLARY DUFF EVERY OTHER 20 mins, and the 11 other songs they play on a loop I am outta here. I pay 12 buks a month and can hardly afford it (yes i'm in college) but I was so sick of commercials it made it worth it when they gave me a free tuner.

What would you rather have? Commercials or the same songs every hour?

Has any real progress been made? cuz as far as I know, I heard the same 5 or 6 songs on us1 all day today, of course I must just be turning it on at the wrong time, but still. I emailed them a bunch of times, I saw we go to the headquarters (really do this) and stand on their steps till they see we are serious about sirius lol

The repeats are dare i say WORSE than FM.

When I turn on US1 at 3 30 and hear for instance Unwell, I listen to it and then after it at 3 32 or whatever i change to the pulse
ITS ON THAT CHANNEL!@!@!#@!# I could freakin program these channels better.

I will donate webspace to getting this problem fixed. Lets come up with a real answer. In the two weeks or maybe its only been one that ive had it, it's really making me regret my descion.

Repetition has been fixed on Spirit, at least for today. Hopefully this is representative of what will happen on some of the other streams. Before the repetition was similar to the Pulse with the most popular songs repeating every couple hours. I've been able to listen all day, and haven't really noticed repetition, even though they were playing hits. They just dug deaper into the hits list. I'm sure the most popular songs were repeated, but when you spread them out far enough, it doesn't jump out at you as much.

Good job Sirius!

So I just called and yet again, the agent agreed with me!
She said that she listens to the Hispanic station alot (and since there's only one of them) its all repeats! HA! She also said that the best way to say "i'm not happy" is sending e-mail's to genfeedback@sirius-radio.com ..She said there "wasn't much she could do"..
not sure what that means but I've called and sent an email, I've had the service for 4 days now and i'm starting to notice the repeats its getting really bad on 62 the beat (what I listen to the most). Kinda strange when the people who work there agree with us...

"When ever i turn on us-1 it always seems to be Kelly Carkson"

(oh and by the way, she new of this site too hehe)

Default Repetition on "Broadway's Best"

Broadway's best suffers from a too-limited playlist as well. "Watching the girls go by" seems to play every time I listen to the channel, as well as songs from Godspell. There are so many great shows out there; I wonder if they have the license/permission to play many shows.
