Listeners shouldnt have to tune into several streams to hear the decade of the 90s music offerings. We have the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s..how long is this "hole" of the 90s going to be unfilled on Sirius? Just bring it back and be true to the slogan, "expect changes"!!

We can get The 90s back on Sirius, but everyone has to write in.

Please send a message offering your praise for the great 90s Labor Day Programming, as well as a request to bring back I-90 full time, to the following inboxes today!

Jay Clark - jclark@siriusradio.com
Joel Salkowitz - jsalkowitz@siriusradio.com
Sirius Feedback - genfeedback@sirius-radio.com
Customer Care - customercare@sirius-radio.com

I'd like to share a message from Haneen, the PD for The Pulse...

Quote:
Jeff,

Thanks for your compliments and for taking the time to write to us.

As you may recall, I used to program the 90's stream, too, so I enjoyed going back to the library to find and play that music.

I also know you're very interested having that very same 90's stream return to Sirius. Making changes in our lineup is always a difficult decision. In the few times it has happened, we find that while some listeners are thrilled, others feel that their personal favorite has been sacrificed. We take requests from our subscribers seriously.

My suggestion to you is to continue to let customer service know that there are subscribers who would like a 90's stream, or any other stream that you feel is missing. And conversely, if you feel that there's a particular stream that's outstanding, we'd appreciate you passing that on to customer service, too.

Subscribers can make a difference at Sirius.

Thanks for listening, and for your support,

Haneen

Well, there was no Sixties stream, which definitely was needed. The question is, why sacrifice the Nineties stream to get it? Originally, see, Sirius Gold, Stream 5, was supposed to cover the fifties and sixties. From the beginning, XM seemed stronger on decades.

Sirius has fixed this, almost. From Swing Street to Stream 8, all are better than XM, in this humble listener's opinion. Then, when it comes to the most recent past decade, Sirius drops the ball. The Pulse was always intended to light AC, or hot AC as radio calls it.

We need a stream that covers ALL the nineties music, and does so as well as The Seventies stream does on 7. Sirius is good at this. They can do it. I know they can.

I just hope they will!

And yes, I wrote! I did so yesterday. And I did offer praise as well as constructive criticism. Meant every word, too.

(Currently, when a prospective subscriber looks over the stream chart, this hole screams out like a sore thumb! It's time to fix it!)

I'll give them my two cents too. Having signed on after I-90 I dont really know what I've missed, but I agree it's a hole they need to fill again.

We need a 90's only stream (I-90) and The Pulse, in my opinion.

Yeah, I mean, I'm a guy, and I still like the pulse... You know, when Octane and Hard Attack wear me out, it's good to have something soft to come home to.

If we had to sacrafice The Pulse to get a true 90's stream I wouldn't have that much of a problem with it. I do like The Pulse.. but hey... reality just seems to indicate that something has to go in order to bring on another stream. I doubt they will reduce talk, though I'd like to see that. Like those three idiotic weather streams, but they use those for NBA, so that isn't going to happen ANYTIME soon. So, you have to give up another music stream, I think it will be The Pulse. Then they will move that mix probably over to Starlight, which almost duplicates it at times anyway. Except in the evenings, when they tend to get real mellow. Don't get me wrong, I could think of some other music streams they could replace, but those would just be a personal choice and others would disagree, so I am not even going there. We all have our niche streams we'd like to see added, but right now I think the mix we have isn't going to change a whole heck of a lot. If we get a pure 90's and I think we should... somethings got to give.
