Still waiting on 3 requests....

5/19 for the first one
6/18 for the second one
6/26 for the third one.

All 3 different songs. The SJ really can't be that busy, 50% aren't live, they are VS, so VS my damn songs onto the playlist.

Everytime you hear Big Me by the Foo Fighters or Eat You Alive by Limp Bizkit, think of me, because they weren't even on the playlist until I suggested them. (It took about a month for Big Me to be added, and about a week for Eat You Alive)

You can still hear Big Me on Octane whenever they are feelin good about playin some classic Foo.

Has anybody actually had a unique request played on Sirius?

Sent a request to Chill this afternoon and just got a personal reply from Geronimo. He says hi to everyone!

How's that for service!

Would it have been as fast, though, if your name was Gladys Hortense of the Bronx and you didn't run an Internet fan site?

I requested two songs for play on hard attack and they both received airtime along with the stream jockey mentioning my name both times....

and I did receive an email from Jose , which I knew wasn't a form letter because he spelled some things wrong

rock on!

kramer is on a distinguished road

I posted this in a diff't thread, but I thought I'd add it here too. I exchanged some emails this morning with Pappy at LOC, he played my request today (I heard it) and mentioned my name and the conversation we had. I originally used the "talk to us" form instead of the "request" one...maybe they read those more?

I haven't had much luck with requests that aren't part of the regular rotation. I usually try to pick songs from cd's that I know Sirius must have (since other songs from the same cd are on the playlist), but I never seem to have much luck. I think that the requests might be out of the hands of the stream jockeys. I've had numerous email conversations with Dave Mac (Buzzsaw), and Kim Mulligan/Tawn Mastrey (Hair Nation). All of them have been great in writing back and responding to my comments, but none have been able to get those "out of the current playlist" requests on the air.

About a month ago, I requested Bulimic by the Used to Faction. According to the stream explorer it was played about once a week at that time. The next morning, I got a response from one of the programmers saying that he would play it, and that he just needed a time that I would be listening. I told him between 9-10PM. An hour later, he responded again saying that it would be on between 9 and 9:30 that night.

I was quite happy with the request system.

I had a great experience with the Pulse.... Requested a song, and got a personal response from Haneen. Though they were unable to play it on the pulse (didn't fit well enough I guess), I was sent the times to expect it to be played on the other channel.

Worked great, cause I listened for it, and was able to Memo it when it played.

Now, no need to request!
