Default Walk the Dog

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing something like XM fans boot camp?

I suggest calling it "Walk the Dog" and maybe we have 2 or 3 streams a week that are highlighted streams. Everyone would be encouraged to give the streams a try and see if they can't develope a taste for that kind of music. It would increase the awareness of a particular type of music and might help quell some of those people who claim Sirius can be repetative, yet only listen to 1 or 2 streams.

The name isn't set in stone and neither are the ideas for this.

.... Although I do think "Walk the Dog" is clever....

It is clever.

But for the same reason I can't be tied up in a bowling league, I couldn't do this one, either.

I bet a lot of people would, though; and would consider it to be a great deal of fun as well....

I was thinking about doing this too. I use the Sirius player at work, so I was thinking about starting with Sirius Hits 1 and end with Horizons. I figured listening to one stream a day would take a couple of months to go through the music streams. Sounds like a fun idea!

I like this idea. I could see it as a "Stream of the week" sort of thing. A thread that would be limited to discussion of what is on the selected stream. I think getting people to simultaneously listen to and discuss one stream could result in lots of interesting posts.

I think this would be fun... I was hoping this thread would garner a little more attention than it has, so if you are interested, let me know.

I was thinking we could do 3 streams a week. The days are open to suggestions as are the channels.

My idea would be to start off slow . . . 1 stream per week.

For simplicity, I suggest starting with Stream # 1.

The Sirius Backstage powers that be would have to add a new discussion forum and set down a few rules, namely that to participate in the thread you have to be currently listening to the stream and you have to discuss what you're hearing. Once the week is over, the thread is closed and archived and the next stream gets its thread.

Very well then. We Start with stream 1.

I suggest changing to a different category each time though, so we don't get bored with one genre of music.

I'll post it up...
