The Meg & Lenny Christmas Show
12/23 & 12/24 (4 pm ET):
The holidays are about traditions with friends and family, so this is a must hear. Meg Griffin hangs with old pal Lenny Kaye, a journalist, musicologist and an undervalued contributor to the genesis of punk rock as the guitarist for Patti Smith. They’ll be playing wacky and favorite Christmas songs, and continue a holiday tradition they started on NYC radio, but now gets kicked up to “the satellite level” on SIRIUS.

The Downtown Messiah
12/24 (10 pm ET):
The Downtown Messiah occupies a unique musical landscape, featuring folk, jazz, rock, gospel, blues, bluegrass and a capella. But as unusual as it gets, this Messiah remains true in spirit to Handel’s original, honoring its longevity and timelessness. Don’t miss this special performance, recorded at the legendary Bottom Line Cabaret in NYC, and featuring SIRIUS personalities, Meg Griffn and Vin Scelsa as narrators. You can also hear The Downtown Messiah Saturday, Dec. 25th @ 4 pm ET on Folk Town // Channel 38.

A choir and chamber orchestra included, it features performances by:
Jane Siberry
David Johansen & Hubert Sumlin
Vernon Reid
Dar Williams
Randy Brecker
Terre Roche
Marshall Crenshaw
Soozie Tyrell
Richard Barone (musical director)

Patti Smith
12/31:
Spend New Year’s Eve with SIRIUS Disorder and Patti Smith and Her Band, LIVE from The Bowery Ballroom in NYC! Punk rock’s poet laureate, Patti Smith ranks among the most influential - and the most Disorderly - women in rock and roll so SIRIUS Disorder is the perfect place to broadcast her traditional New Year’s Eve show. Visit boweryballroom.com for information about Patti’s other Bowery Ballroom performances with Grayling on 12/29 and 12/30. Check out Patti's official website at pattismith.net.

Artist Visit: The Pierces
1/5 (12 pm ET):
Catherine and Allison Pierce grew up in a benignly hippie southern family. Home schooled by a mother who painted and a father who was always in a band, the girls sang in church and music was as natural to them as their un-kidlike diet of healthy hippie food. The Pierces stop by to play some tracks from their new release, Light of the Moon, which features harmonies that are as beautiful to hear as the ladies are to look at.

RyanM, how do you get the program listing like that? Through RSS or just by going to the site and copy/Paste? I'd like to be able to keep up on programming somehow, so I don't miss anything that I usually end up missing!
Thanks!

Page by page, copy, paste, quote, bold, italics, etc... Not easy, but for special events, it's worth it to have one list we can reference. RoadRunner does the same thing on his Weekly Rock Reports. I'd love to get an RSS feed and it's something I like to get for Christmas. For now I'll just keep my fingers crossed.

What I want to know is why the comedy stations weren't switched over to play those comedic Holiday parodies on CHristmas day. Instead we get lame ass music on 004.
