Default Something is up...music is SIRIUSLY off the hook

I know SIRIUS has greatly improved on the repeats, but I truly believe SIRIUS management has given the DJ's full reign on the music.......they are going CRAZY (in a good way) with all kinds of great songs.........maybe it's just me? I freakin' LUV IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

What channels are you noticing this on? How long have you been a subscriber to Sirius?

I've been a subscriber since June 2004. I listen to practically all the channels at one time or another, but I listen mostly to Soul Review, The Strobe, Totally 70's, Heart & Soul, Jam On, Chill and SIRIUS Disorder. I have noticed a change for some time now, but it has been most noticeable for the last several weeks. I listen to SIRIUS music approx. 8 hrs or more per day (including home, commute and work). I know there was a lot of repetition in the past, but it has definitely changed on the above channels.

I agree, I have been a Sub a loooong time. The music is getting ALOT better in Variety.

I mainly listen to New Country, Prime Country, Big 80s, The pulse and Radio Margaritiaville.

Also MANY people tha tI know that used to give the music advantage to XM now give it to Sirius. They say they got tired of the channel flipping for good songs on XM and that it seemed to be getting worse.

Now I cancelled my XM a bit ago so this is word of Mouth but I even heard it 2 times today when going to buy a new sportster boombox. at Tweeter, CC and Best Buy.

Theyt were sold out at BB and CC and I got the last one at Tweeter. I think the Sportster Replay is super popular. I am very happy they got it out so far before Xmas.

I know the Spectrum is sounding good lately. Radio Margaritaville is as well.

Bah, I don't notice any more variety on my channels.
Hair nation is the same ol' stuff.
I've noticed a lot of Jimi Hendrix lately on Buzz Saw and Classic Vinyl.
If I hear Voodoo Chile one more time...<shaking fist>...

My brother and his wife have Sirius in their van, but when my brother bought his new truck last month it came with a free 3 month subscription to XM. He said when the sub ends he plans to install Sirius in his truck because the music seems much better on Sirius.

I agree with you on the channels you've mentioned. But Alt Nation continues to go downhill, IMHO.

I now have had my sirius subscription for a year, and I just love the music varitey on sirius. I listen to New Country, Prime Country, The Big 80's, WSM Entertainment, & 60's Vibrations the most. I totally think It beats anything else that I have ever heard anywhere. I hear songs that I like way more often then I ever did on terrestrial radio. I would have to agree SIRIUS IS WAY OFF THE HOOK!!!!! LOL I wouldn't give up my subscription to sirius for the world. The best money I ever spent is on my sirius radios.

Thank you sirius for bring us the music that we all love and enjoy day after day. Sirius is the best.

The worst repetition channel on Sirius in my opinion still continues to be 66 - The Beat. Nothing has changed here. The playlist is thinner than Elvis Radio - they have literally only 2 hours of music repeated 24/7. Once every 2 months they include a new song, but drop an old one at the same time, so effectively the list is always about 20 songs long. The way it is run has nothing to do with guidelines (i.e. play more or less current hits etc.). It is an outright forsaken channel, playing unchangeable crap, probably because nobody on higher level is aware of what's going on.

Elvis playlist is over 800 song titles, hardly thin.

My bad. I guess that officially makes Sirius 66 the channel with the thinnest playlist in the world

Certainly I agree that Sirius has made improvements in the variety this year. But I think stations like Alt Nation and LOC still need work.

Sirius is better than it was a year ago. Good to see them making the changes that we all asked for.
