Do we have a dedicated white channel? No. I never knew channels were racist. Except for one tv channel...called BLACK Entertainment Television. Every other tv channel and radio channel I know have nothing to do with race.

There are certain channels called "black" channels because they may address social issues of the Black community, or a music genre that is typically favored by black audiences, but in no way do they only appeal to black audiences. If you think calling a channel black is racist in reverse, I would like you to step in my shoes and see what a Black American goes through on a daily basis with racism.

Bad overall because they still didn't add a b/ez channel but good that they added another soundscapes newage channel.I'm sorry I just don't buy the racism thing with Sirius.I'm getting tired of hearing about racism. It's not as prevelent today as it was a very long time ago. Most people arn't predjudce excuse the spelling.

Honestly, that has to be one the most ignorant statements I've heard in quite sometime. I'm guessing you've never heard of channels such as Telemundo or Univision? Are you accusing them of being racist as well?

This is the same attitude Sirius has, lets take care of our rock and country fans and fuck our black subscribers, just keep feeding them top 40 R&B,they`ll be happy.I`m sure Sirius knows 17 rock channels is not enough for it`s primary audience.

I understand what you are saying and you are correct, but you can not say the music programming is not one sided. No,I am not saying that I also need 17 channels in order to satisfy my musical tastes,I (we) were only asking for 1 channel for a genre that is being completly ignored and had so much influence on todays music.I feel it realy isn`t fair.I mean Sirius can find room for a Korean channel but can`t program a channel for Funk, which they did have (channel 44) but the suits decided it wasn`t wanted or needed? So yes I feel Sirius` programming is one sided.

Yeah, Sirius hates skateboarding white guys too! We're only asking for 1 channel, for a genre that is being completely ignored and has so much influence on todays music. I mean, it really isn't fair, they find room for a Korean channel, a Cosmo channel, but have to play rock and hip hop, something that exists elsewhere on many a channel on the one channel that should be all about punk, but the suits decided that was wanted or needed. So yes, I feel Sirius' programming is racist as well.

So quick to pull that race card. Sad.

I`m not trying 2 play the race card,I`m saying Sirius can reprogram some of those 17 rock channels into other genres, ppl here want Punk, new age, movie soundtracks, and other genres other than funk, why is there a need for 17 rock channels.

You pull the race card every time you state that you are a black man of a certain age and that Sirius doesn't care about the music you listen to. It's one thing to complain that there is no funk and that you would like that genre better represented on Sirius. But to associate it with you being black is definitely pulling the race card. So, yes, question the need for 17 rock channels, question why funk/punk/soundtracks isn't represented, but leave the whole race issue out of it. You only lessen your chances of getting said genres by pulling age and race into the equation as that makes it a smaller demographic.

Actually, there aren't seventeen rock channels.

Sirius Blues and Reggae Rhythms aren't rock channels, and IMO they belong in other categories.

Ntilly, most every channel is a "white channel" when whites make up the majority of the population in America (for now ). This is a pretty unenlightened statement, to put it kindly.

I feel your pain, but which two channels are you talking about? I count at least 6 or 8 that I could consider geared specifically toward blacks.
