I vote for no Dj's and NO Sirius Commercials. I want a satellite Jukebox. but No such service exists. I used to have Cable Music before Sirius and XM and loved the jukebox style but didn't like only haveing a few channels. I also plan on getting a MP3 player to download all my CD's. but still would like a satellite Jukebox service to hear new stuff to add to my MP3 collection. Some channels the DJ's talk too much or ontop of music. The ultimate worst is BBC1. I would love to hear the music they play on BBC1 but the DJ's never stop yapping. I'm also bothered by the shows they play on Faction, Hip Hop nation, Shade 45 and Hot Jamz. They are pretty much talk shows that play some music. very annoying. Hot Jamz heavy hitters Mix would be a great mix show if they didn't costantly remind us between every song that we are listening to Heavy hitters on Hot Jamz. Hot Jamz Heavy hitters mix is supposed to flow from one song to the next. But it fails to do so because they mix in station ads every few minutes. Shade 45 has station identification after almost every song. It gets repititve and annoying. I usually listen to sirius at work at night and can never listen to Hip Hop nation. because they have talk shows on all night. If Sirius must have DJs and Station ads I think they should atleat wait 15 minutes and make it short and sweet.

I would like to know how of my 13.00 goes to pay a DJ. That money could be better spent on improving the signal. I understand the "RADIO" arguement but the word radio is just a used because it is satellite music beamed into your car radio. When SIRIUS started there were no DJ's on the music stations and that was on one the main reasons why they were able to build their initial base of listeners. Most of the info that comes from the DJ's is song information which is already on the display. The advantage of SIRIUS is you can get to hear new music and don't have to keep your IPOD or CD changer up to date.

Default Keep announcers

Radio is RADIO. If you want no announcers/DJ's, use an IPOD. I enjoy them.

Eh I could do without the dj's, why do people need to hear a human voice talk about whats being played on the channel? I can already see that on the display thanks, its kinda like a moderator coming on and every now and then talking about posters and there likes and dislikes and were are they now. Eh I can also see people who care about the bands and want to hear about where they are at now and if they are still around.

I was thinking what every happend to Y&T, and lo and behold who comes on but Y&T with there hit song. The next thing I know the song is over and the dj is talking about the group and that they are still around and touring, good stuff! I was very thankful for the dj for that bit of news so djs=all not bad, some are good, still would like to hear less dj's more music but I can live with the way it is now.

I'm not reading through this whole topic, but I just want to say that the topic creator is wrong wrong wrong.

Do you have Jack FM in your market? You probably do; they're everywhere now. They have a great playlist that I love, but the thing that keeps it down is that they don't have DJs. It feels like it's all run by machines, very low-budget like.

Having DJs on the Sirius music channels is a huge draw for me. It gives the stations a personality. If there isn't someone on there talking, I'm more likely to switch over to a channel that does have someone. I wanted to hear some Christmas music, but I couldn't stay interested because I knew there was nobody there.

Keep the DJs.

Default A dj's only channel-no music at all on this one

They should have music only channels and a channel that just has dj's talking(no music at all on that channel). Then you could listen to music and if you got tired of listening to music you could jump over to the dj channel and listen to their inane chatter to your hearts content then jump back to music.

Damn Straight!! Part of the reason why I switched back to XM. Not to mention the horrible repetition.

If you want to listen with Sirius with no DJ interruption, then listen/record the programming between 1 AM and 6 AM EST...pretty much all songs, no DJ's.

Default Sirius DJ's - I say get rid of them

Personally I like the Dj`s...for me it makes it not seem like I`m listening to my MP3 player.

The DJ'S are staying. I think it gives the stations more personality. They never say much anyway. Sometimes we hear something interesting about the artist or song. As long as their are NO COMMERCIALS.

Sirius rocks..............

I don't mind the DJs. In my opinion they give the service identity. In fact, I have a few faves - Covino on Octane, JJ/Barry Williams on 70s, Robyn Lane on Buzzsaw to name a few. I just wish they wouldn't talk over the music so much.

I honestly cannot believe that some of these morons would actually say XM is better because the DJs talk less. They are there to make it more enjoyable. If you are that annoyed by someone talking for 10 seconds, you need to get into some counseling.
