Default New Canadian Radio Channels Announced For Sirius Radio

I found the following information about new Canadian channels coming to Sirius Canada Radio in the Fall...Does this mean those channels will only be added in Canada or will we get them too here in the USA as well ?

http://www.siriusradiocanada.com/Home-e.htm

CBC Radio One

The new CBC Radio Three, dedicated to new music and new artists

Radio-Canada’s La Première Chaîne

Radio-Canada’s Bandapart, dedicated to new emerging artists

New Canadian music channels brought to you by Standard Radio,
featuring your favorite Canadian artists.

First to Sirius and Sirius backstage.
To answer your question from what I have read from other members we will also be able to get the Canadian programming.

That's great..CBC has excellent programming. Would like to see some radio stations added from Montreal commercial radio though don't know if Sirius has enough channels for this.

Except at the moment, CBC is in another labor dispute--they locked out their employees seven weeks ago.

Here in SE Michigan, we get CBC-TV, Radio 1 and Radio 2 from Windsor. Before the lockout, I enjoyed listening to the Radio 2 hosts and programming.

It's still a mystery as to what will be on the Canadian music channels, that doesn't say much.

I would love to see some of the francophone (French speaking) stations like Radio Énergie (internet feed at: mms://142.217.172.106/CJMM) on Sirius but they are owned by CHUM/Astral Media which is competing for paid radio service in Canada.

I think that is also true for some of the anglophone (English speaking) stations in Ontario and Québec too.

I just thought of a few good Canadian stations too...

CHUM Oldies Toronto

CJFM Top 40 Montreal

CFRB Talk Toronto

CJAD Talk Montreal

CFQR AC Montreal

I don't think that's what they meant. Not terestrial channels, but "New Canadian music channels brought to you by Standard Radio, featuring your favorite Canadian artists."

Galaxie or Bandeparte are CBC channels that deliver francophone music.

CJMM is a terrestrial station in Montréal, which is part of Astral Media, a competitor of Sirius. I would love to have their programming on Sirius but know it won't be added to Sirius' lineup unless they stop competing and form some kind of agreement. Same with CHUM owned stations.

Looks like we should get them in the US also.

According to siriusradiocanada.com I saw the following two quotes:

"Canadian performers, writers and creators will gain broader exposure to millions of subscribers across Canada and the U.S"

and

"American audiences will have access to a further perspective on Canada and Canadian values through the insightful news and public affairs programming of CBC Radio One and Première Chaîne de Radio-Canada."
