How would YOU make the tough choice that Sirius execs have to make?

I'll get us started:

Add The Border (alt country)

Delete Outlaw Country!
How about deleting all country!?
That wouldn`t B fair.I know how it feels to loose an entire genre.

Wow, most all of the channels you want to delete are some of my favorites. (Especially, "Radio Margaritaville", "SuperShuffle", "the Bridge", and "First Wave"). I definately don't want to lose any of these. I would love to have "Vacation" again though.

Maybe since the Coffeehouse is up and running they could Dump Left of Center, combine it with the coffeehouse and add a Folktown or Funk type stream. There's plenty of consolidation that can happen within the rock streams.

Classic Vinyl
Classic Rewind
The Vault
The Bridge (this belongs in Rock)
Octane/Repeat Nation
First Wave
Hair Nation
SIRIUS Disorder
The Spectrum/Left of Center (Make a new College Show on the Spectrum, call it "Left of Sirius")
Hard Attack (yes, for all you groupies out there (me included!), hard attack still exists under this scenario)
Faction (as an all-punk Channel under a different name)
Coffeehouse
Radio Margaritaville

Move Reggae to the World category.

now you have 12 channels that accomplish the same thing with less clutter and more consolidation. I could suggest combining Rewind/Vinyl and the Vault to make it eight but I got yelled at the last time I said that. Plus under this scenario you classic Rockers can still get your fix because they'll be 4 or 5 that play Classic Rock.

Coffeehouse has nothing to do with LOC; one is "singer-songwriters" and one is "college rock." Same with Spectrum/LOC - Spectrum is "adult album alternative."

I think the overlap in rock exists among Vinyl, Rewind, the Vault, Buzzsaw, and Hair Nation, and that any consolidation ought to happen there.

COMBINE: Sirius Love & Sirius Lite
ADD: A '90s channel (leave The Pulse with modern hot a/c)

DELETE: Radio Margaritaville
ADD: Vacation

COMBINE: BUZZSHAW w/ Classic Rewind/Vinyl
ADD: A Classic R&B channel (re-format Heart&Soul to contemporary R&B).

And would like to add these:
- An soft instumental/easy listening channel ala Sunny
- A Latin Urban/Reggaeton channel
- Movie Soundtracks

Reformat:
- Alt Nation (more 90's tracks)

Get rid of Rolling Stone's Radio
Add a British Invasion Station. A History of British music for the 60's, 70's, and 80's.

Agree. I like alt. nation, but if they were to add more 90's hits to it, boy would it be an even better station! Just don't start adding obscure stuff like xm plays.

Maybe adding more 'Vault' type stations for the various Genres. An Alternative 'Vault' that plays obscure stuff (for those of us who LIKE that sort of thing). And do it for all other genres that require it.

Disorder really isn't a random sampling of all the music channels - it's eclectic rock. But I agree - delete Super Shuffle.

Super Shuffle is good, I didn't think I'd like it but it's worthy of a preset (when I do in fact a receiver DAMMIT!)

Default My Opinion

Add REMIX
Delete BOOMBOX

Deleting Remix is THE dumbest idea Sirius has EVER had! It has pissed off MANY dance fans. I would also say that some consolidation could occur amongst Spa 73, Chill, and Coffeehouse. I've HEARD that there is some overlap. They could even delete Chill and just have a Chill specialty show on Spa 73. While they're at it, rename Spa 73 to Soundscapes! The dance offerings definitely do not reflect what the majority of the listeners want to hear. Dance fans want Remix back!
