Im thinkin more like a week. Xmas gets over a month a week isnt asking to much for other holidays. Besides there are many halloweenish songs to choose from, such as:

Warren Zevon
Werewolves Of London

Marilyn Manson
Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This)

Billy Lee Riley
Nightmare Mash

Cocteau Twins
Blood Bitch

Nine Inch Nails
Dead Souls

Godsmack
Voodoo

AMC Presents Listen To The Movies: Monst
Time Warp

Takayuki Hattori
Eerie Silence

Rob Zombie
Living Dead Girl

White Zombie
More Human Than Human

Oingo Boingo
Dead Man's Party

Victor Mizzy
The Addams Family Main Theme (Main Title)

Skylab
Ghost Dance

Concrete Blonde
Bloodletting (The Vampire Song) (Extended Version)

Bauhaus
Bela Lugosi's Dead

Brian O'Neal
Monster Mash

Just to name a few.

So what are they going to do the other 23 hours for the next couple of days? A loop of these 20 songs over and over? A scary goblin giggling? Alan Hunter talking about his favorite halloween?

Hell yea Har,

Hard Attack rocks!

You gotta love the black metal!

Corpse Paint, Spiked gauntlets, impaled sheep heads, swords, axes, breathing fire, burning down churches, murdering band members, and I almost forgot about the dark evil lyrics!

Bring it on bro! Now we just need to add the blood and guts at the shows like what GWAR does.

Just got an email from our local FOX TV affiliate:

"Just wanted to drop a short note to remind you to tune in tonight. It's
our "Halloween Special"--we've got our TOP 10 HALLOWEEN SONGS, plus
we're playing the video for "Do They Know It's Halloween" in its
entirety, one of the only stations in the U.S. to do so. If you haven't heard
about this video, it's a spoof of "Do They Know It's Christmas." Thought
up by the former lead singer of the band The Unicors (good band that
didn't make it), it features Beck, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Postal Service,
Sonic Youth, Arcade Fire, Rilo Kiley, Peaches, David Cross and a bunch
of other cats. Frickin killer video, in the spirit of the season, since
we're such warm-hearted ironists."

Not familiar with this one.

Well that would be typical for Sirius for any given channel. I don't know any channel I wont hear the same song on again within 8 hours. BUT as I said this was only a partial list, maybe Sirius could get a larger list from XM, AOL, or Yahoo music, even others have contributed ideas. There are a lot of songs that could fit into this catagory.

I know what you mean Harry,

I'll drive to work and hear Opeth- The Grand Conjuration
I'll be at work for 8 hours and hear it again maybe twice.
then on my way home I'll hear it again.

I just wonder how long the AVERAGE Sirius listener listens to one station before changing channels, or just listens in general.

Although I Listen to Hard Attack 8+ hours a day with an occasional stop at Raw Dog.

Well...I bet the average listener listens to it on the road or home when it's real easy to change channels. Myself, personally, I listen mostly at work on the net and wouldn't want to go through all of the buffering if I change channels.

They're doing a Halloween show on Underground Garage today... they say they're coming to us "from a haunted house" and there've been some good H-ween tracks.

Just heard "I walked with a Zombie" by Roky Erikson and the Aliens.

Nice.

Nice.

On Hard Attack, they are playing a block of Black Metal every hour...Cannibal Corpse and Cryptopsy as example

Nice.

Underground Garage has also been playing some creepy audio clips from old horror films in between songs, followed by the tagline, "Happy Halloween from Little Steven's Underground Garage!"

Song update: now hearing "Bloodletting (The Vampire Song)" by Concrete Blonde. Lots of good stuff on here today. Glad to see a couple of channels are picking up on the opportunity to celebrate my favorite holiday
