Default Christmas Music Starting?

Any word on when Sirius will be starting the Christmas music channel? Will they have more than one channel this year like XM did last year? I hope Sirius doesn't wait until Thanksgiving. Start it earlier, the Holiday season is too short already

I look for something to be announced soon, and I doubt you'll get your before Thanksgiving date.

Sirius announced today that they will not offer a Christmas music stream this year. They normally do it on Channel 4 (Movin Easy) but will be putting 24x7 of Debby Boone music on that stream. This of course follows the announcements for the Elvis, Rolling Stones, and Bruce Springsteen streams.

Not to mention the "all Celine Dion all the time" channel, to debut with the Canadian channels in a month or so.

Oh man, it's too early. It's bad enough with all the commercialisation and Christmas trees being sold in freaking August....do we really need to shove the music down our throats this early? Plus if the poor Halloween music selection is any indication of things to come I wouldn't hold my breath on getting much anyway. I love Christmas music too, but please let us recover from the other holidays before playing it...please!!!

Oh God, don't even joke about that!! Don't give them any ideas because I wouldn't put it past them to actually do it.

Well I'm probably in the minority here, but I like Christmas Music

Never say it's too early. I read where a station in Kansas (or was it Oklahoma?) started playing Christmas music right after the 4th of July!

Many FM stations are playing it already. There's a station near me that I can just pick up (fades in an out): http://www.oldiesfm.com
and they started playing it Midnight Nov. 1, right after Halloween.
