Default Why No Punk/hardcore/ska Station!!!???

i want to listen to punk music and only punk music. sirius' answer for that is Faction. but they play punk, metal core, and rap. there are 4+ rap stations, 15+ rock stations, but there is not one punk station!

too much music crossover on stations. sirius has an answer for every person likes but a punk rock kid. if i want to listen to broadway, i go to Broadway's Best, if i wanna listen to gospel ill turn to Praise, if i wanna listen to bluegrass for christ sakes ill listen to channel 65 Bluegrass.

if i wanna listen to punk music ill turn to faction 28 and 50 cent will be on.

i hate sirius, if it wasnt for stern, i would drop this service.

Dear Sirius:

You have every single genre covered on your satellite radio station EXCEPT one that myself and many many other subscribers desperately want (you can check your message board if you want evidence) - a punk/ska/hardcore station.

I mean you have literally every market tapped. If I want to listen to bluegrass, I have a blue grass channel. If I want to listen to Broadway hits, I have a Broadway hits channel. I want obscure rock, I have left of center. Hell, if Canadian rock is my desire, I have iceberg. If I would want a "unique, cutting-edge perspective on the emerging French-language music scene", I have Bande A Part. I mean seriously – Bande A Part!?

The closest thing a punk rock fan is alt nation and faction. Both are highly laughable. Alt nation will play an occasional (and I stress occasional) song that might be punk and then its back to Coldpaly or Matisyahu. As far as Faction is concerned, who are you kidding with that station? "A punk, hip-hop mix!?" Who decided to put those two together? You really think a kid who is a huge NOFX or Alkaline Trio (oh, wait you don't play Alkaline Trio on your stations) wants to hear their 50 cent or Snoop Dogg?

You may think you are spot on with your playlist on both respective channels, but you could not be farther off. It's like you gave Mel Karmazin a Rolling Stone Magazine and had him throw collection of songs together in one hour. It's ridiculous! I know XM is your rival, but they have the genre nailed with a station called Fungus 53 to which I am listening to right now through a free trail. It is amazing.

Please make a "New Year's Resolution" to correct this problem. There are many, many alienated kids and old school punkers out there. But, i guess if you look on the bright side, at least you are able to cater to all of those people who love that cutting-edge French language music scene...

Thanks for your attention in this matter...

Good luck with it. I wish you the best, really. However, we've had this discussion many times with little results. Sirius response? Give Marky Ramone his own show.
