Question Sirius Speedway display on Radio

I have a SP4 that has a 2 line display. During almost every other show, I get to know who the hosts are talking to -- the guest. I've noticed that Sirius Speedway does not do this.

I absolutely love SS, but most of the time, I'll get into the car half way through an interview, and have no clue who is talking for as little as 30 seconds, to as long as when Dave Moody says goodbye, thanks for coming.

For me, if I don't know who the guest is, the questions and answers don't have as much meaning and reduce the enjoyment of the show.

Is this just my radio or does this issue impact everyone?

I've done a search and can't seem to find anyone else with this issue.

Thanks!

Sirius Speedway is broadcast by MRN, and not by Sirius...

It's kinda like how Sirius broadcasts ESPN. Sirius just feeds the shows through New York, so they (MRN) can't really change the display...

Hope that helps. I'm sure Moody will come by & explain better...

its not your receiver. i have a starmate replay and the only thing that displays on the pdt is the shows name and phone #. it doesn't bother me that badly that they don't put the guest name on the pdt, but there are times that i wish that they would.

Since Sirius Speedway is 100% produced for Sirius XM Radio by MRN Radio out of our worldwide headquarters in the sprawling metropolis of Concord, NC, we do not have the capabilities the other shows, which are produced out of NYC, to change the text on your Sirius XM receivers.

Sorry about that, it just means you need to listen to every second between 3PM and 7PM (EST) to Sirius 128 or XM 104, hanging on Dave’s every word.

I have noticed that Dave does remind the audience to whom he is speaking, more often, recently.

I do appreciate what he does.

Thanks for explaining the situation for me.
