I personally hope they find a way to squeeze in the sports without preempting the live talk programs. Since sports is a major focus of Sirius, I suspect they will figure out a way to do this.

You maybe right.... But I was speaking for myself, not everyone else. But I understand that there are those that subscribe for one or two streams. But I guess I've been around long enough to know that the line up on SIRIUS does indeed change from time to time. Many of us have had our favorite music, talk, entertainment streams removed totally. The whole point is that a service like SIRIUS does provide us all with an opportunity to expand our horizons. But then I guess we have to want to expand them too. Nothing is in stone guys when it comes to programming on SIRIUS.

I do agree with Manco though, I think this sports programming needs to be done in a manner in which they do not use the talk streams at all.

There are some of us who have horizons which are already sufficiently expanded. Having seen it all, we may already know too much.

That being said, we know what we want and shop accordingly. Since Sirius still seems to be trying to find itself we buy cheap receivers and short subscriptions.

You've hit this one square on the head... THIS is the reason people get sirius or xm radio... Good call. Yea, the no commercials is fine, but it all comes down to what niches you're getting - Get enough of them and you win. :-)

I guarantee you that a bluegrass fan would not be placated if you stomped on bluegrass music with Golf and suggest that they listen to Modern Country for 4 hours.

To them Sirius has one good channel, alone worth the $13/month.

To tell someone who has just had their one favorite channel ripped away it's OK because there are 99 others shows a profound lack of understanding of the multichannel subscriber service model.
