Default Sirius Lapse in Communication re: Talk Left

I check in here from time to time to see if there's any update on the fate of 144. What strikes me as strange is not that Sirius may not be all that keen about devoting two channels to progressive talk (as much as I and others might wish they would), but how poorly they appear to be communicating their intentions to interested subscribers. Why not simply say we're trying to put together another progressive channel or we're planning on shutting down 144 or we're doing whatever it is we're planning on doing? It's not like we're talking a need to protect secrets impacting national security. Why not one upfront statement from management instead of contradictory statements from out of the loop service reps?

That assumes Sirius is much more organized and proactive than it is. Remember how long it took to get Maxim on the radio? It started months and months AFTER they started playing a preview loop.

True, but at least Sirius was willing to indicate Maxim was eventually going to expand beyond the preview loop. With 144, one can assume progressive talk, something else, or nothing. The loss of AAR was hardly a surprise and I think Sirius management must have at least some clue what course of action they're planning to take. Seems like they could let subscribers know.

I think both Sirius and XM are messing up badly in this. If Sirius would've been on the ball and had a new lineup ready, or at least announced it was coming, they may not have lost some people. If XM would have gotten their act together and aired the complete AAR lineup, they might have picked up some subscribers.

Both are alienating a good many people...

Does someone have the proper contact emails for Sirius?
We can circulate them through the online dem/lib/progressive community,
a few thousand emails can work wonders.

The squeaky wheel gets greased.

News on XM: I posted last week that Randi Rhodes is going full time on XM. They announced today that Ed Schultz is moving to Ask, so they won't be cutting him.

Come on Sirius, get your act together!

I agree, you would think that Sirius would be able to put together a channel by now.

You have to remember that things in the business world, such as contracts, take awhile to prepare.

It also could be sirius, remember when mike church got moved from talk central, right away they said, coming soon, an awesome show! then months later they came up with the pod show, ouch

I think there should be a second Radio Korea stream. It's not fair that there are numerous hispanic stations and only one Korean. I mean, if I don't like who's hosting a certain show on Radio Korea where do I turn? WAAA WAAA WWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

dude dont be a smartass..... these are people voicing concern about a station they enjoyed listening to. Show them a little respect, even if their views differ from yours.

I hear ya soxnation.......but maaan there are just too many threads on this. If it was all contained inside of 1 thread it wouldn't bother me at all. So all respek to all the peeps. It just gets tiring. If people would do a search before posting they would see that there are 10 other threads on the same topic and also there is an announcement coming soon on the lineup changes. I think it would make way more sense to complain AFTER the changes. Nobody is forced to subscribe to Sirius. If you don't like it then you are free to unsubscribe. I hate to hear (or read) people whining.

We're automatons, man. We can't help it. Kind of like people who are compelled to click on threads they're not interested in and make comments.

If there have been multiple threads regarding poor communication by Sirius, it's possible the fault may lie with the company and not the posters.

Yeah, it's Sirius' fault that there are so many threads on this topic. That makes a lot of sense.
