Default I agree the Bill Press addition is definitely welcome

but it is still badly lacking liberal/progressive content on Sirius Left

You know, this new Radio Korea channel is so bad, that I wonder if it's some kind of stunt that Sirius is working on?

I mean, has anyone seen promos for it outside of the channel dial on your radio?

Does anyone actually speak Korean or know someone who does where we could find out what they're saying?

Is it a live feed or delayed?

Is it from North Korea or South Korea?

Something just isn't right here.

hahaha I was thinking the same thing, maybe after seeing how many people are fretting over Sirius Canada, they are figuring they will all say, "well, at least it's better than Radio Korea"

It really is very strange, one would think more latino stations would be a more logical choice considering the dempgraphics, plus more gringos would listem to music in spanish than korean. ore maybe even a Bollywood channel, again, there would be some crossover appeal as Bollywood is gaining fans here in the States.

I like the comment someone said that it is just to get back at Hundayi for putting XM in their cars!

Or maybe they're trying to appeal to me who now has Sirius in my Hyundai! NOT! It's either a progressive channel soon or I'm looking to say bye!

I'm assuming there is some guy at Sirius who is dating a Korean and trying to impress them with this station. That is all I can think...or perhaps this is a more tech-savy demographic.

Nonetheless, my neighbor married a lady from the Philippines and it would seem that is the type of station that would be useful...I never realized that there were over a million people from there -- that seems like a much larger demographic to me.

I feel sometimes like I'm living in Seoul, GA so I think this was a very smart move on SIRIUS' part.

According to the 2000 US Census, there are 894,063 people in the USA speaking Korean. There are also a lot of Canadian Korean speakers. Many of these people are not likely to become SIRIUS subscribers for any other reason than the fact SIRIUS has a Korean language channel 24/7.

There are 2,022,143 people in the USA speaking a Chinese dialect of some sort and that's not even including Canada, where in Vancouver, all the signs are in English, French and Chinese.

So when are we going to get this Chinese channel? I know there are a ton of dialects, but SIRIUS could have a couple hours of Mandarin, a couple hours of Cantonese, Taiwanese and maybe an hour of Hokkien, Hakka, and etc.

SIRIUS' international programming is what sets it apart from the competition.
