No it hasn't. It's always played radio-edited music instead of commercials.

Well, if it is playing commercials now it's reason #1,154 to completely avoid it. Commercials or not...its still an extremely shitty channel and just isn't worth listening too, IMHO.

I listen to Covino and Rich now that The Radio Chick left for FM

I actually like them. I was laughing my ass off today....great show. I'm a 27 single male, so maybe I fit the demographic...?

I as a huge supporter of the Maxim channel... I was even there in Jacksonville, Florida at the Super Bowl event that launched the Maxim channel. It just isn't the same and it isn't getting any better. I had to take it off of my pre-set list.

i like the covino and rich show. bower i can't listen to. evan and brian were ok but i stopped listening for a little while and now when i go back they are talking about brian's panties and i missed that boat.

still, covino and rich do a really good job. i'm hoping bubba's show is good and then i'll have my radio straight for the day by going howard, R & C, and then bubba.

Former Operations Manager for WXRK/New York to program MAXIM Radio channel

NEW YORK - November 29, 2005 - SIRIUS Satellite Radio, the content leader in radio, announced today that Rob Cross, former Operations Manager for WXRK-FM/New York, joins SIRIUS Satellite Radio as Director of Programming for its MAXIM Radio channel 108.

Cross, who was with WXRK for two and a half years as Operations Manager, starts with SIRIUS on December 6th.

WXRK/New York (K-Rock 92.3) has been the flagship terrestrial radio station for The Howard Stern Show since 1985.

MAXIM Radio, produced by Maxim magazine and SIRIUS, provides Maxim magazine's amazing ability to speak to guys in a national, live radio channel. MAXIM Radio on SIRIUS features music, listener call-ins, guests from the worlds of sports, entertainment and music, and lots of irreverent guy-talk.
Hmmm....wonder if this will help things? Hopefully its a step in the right direction.

Looks like a lot of people from WXRK are leaving and heading over to Sirius. This is looking more and more like a trend. I am hoping that Maxim shapes up... it started off as an excellent concept, they just need to really fix what went wrong.

Maxim sucks ass. Kill it.

As far as magazines go, I'd rather listen to a "Highlights" channel.

Have they announced any programming changes yet since they hired the new Program Manager? This channel has a lot of potential.

The problem with Maxim Radio is that they replay the Evan and Brian show all the freakin time. Why not Covino and Rich? I'm working and going to classes throughout the morning and only hear the radio for about 5 minutes when I'm driving between them. I'd like to check the station out at night, and it's always Evan and Brian. Even on the weekends, it's the same shit over and over.

Why do these guys even attempt to talk about sports? It is obvious they have no clue what the hell they are talking about. They aren't fooling anyone.

Bower was trying to talk about video games last week. The journalist dude brought up Animal Crossing, and Bower never even heard of it. I fail to believe that anyone who actually plays video games has never heard of Animal Crossing. It's not possible.

Then he went on to say that he's happy with Madden, and I decided he's just a complete douchebag.

Maxim does need to shape up, however, I really enjoy the Covino & Rich show. Those guys do a great job and their topics really fit in well with the target Maxim reader audience. I def plan on listening from Howard 6-10 and switching over to Covino & Rich from 10-2 during the weekday.

I like the channel. I listen to C&R every day. Bower's show is decent, but Evan and Brian really suck. I can't stand that the only thing they talk about is sports, and I love sports, but if I wanted to listen about it I'd switch to ESPN or my local AM sports radio station.
