I think they need to do more partnerships with some of the magazine writers and interview the same people. They do need to make some changes.

Default maxim radio

The commercials are a break for you to check out music on other channels. I enjoy Bowers show and listen everyday. When the commercials come on I turn to another channel and listen to music!

i really like the covino and rich show. funny guys to listen to. but they play way too many commercials and the same songs. over and over again. less commercials and music and more entertainment, isn't maxim on a talk channel?

I'm starting to listen to Maxim a bit more now that the NBA season is over. It's pretty good. So far it's waaaaaaay ahead of Cosmo Radio.

I've been once again listening to it since Stern has been on vacation. It's so refreshing to me. It's youthful and cool. Maybe it's not something that some people can listen to all the time but you get a good mix of music and talk. They hit on a lot of decent questions when they have hot women in. I particularily like Covino and Rich. And I loved the American Girl section on Evan and Brian.

I agree with this post.
I just tuned back in while Howard was off last week and really enjoyed it.
I noticed they've switched from playing radio edited music to uncut music and they play a lot of good songs.
I think all the hosts do pretty good.

I've tried listening to this channel a few times, and what crap. The channel has potential, but they need someone who knows how to do a radio show to run the channel. THey are still playing edited songs too. They have questions like how much is too much sex, and girls deep throating pickles, but god forbid they play an unedited song. The show ideas are dumb too. what a waste of my subscriber money.

OK, are they or aren't they playing uncut music? I was all exited about a potential format change and now someone says they still play radio edits?!

And what about the actual content of the shows...have they finally realized what MAXIM magazine is all about and started airing uncensored material or is it the usual "Radio Disney" type content?

I absolutely refuse to listen to that train wreck of a channel until I know for sure.

As a long time subscriber to MAXIM, I would like to know what you think the magazine is all about? It is not a porn mag and should not be a porn station. RIght now I think it is a great channel and captures the vibe of the mag well, especially Covino and Rich.

Agreed, it is one of my 5 favorite Sirius stations.

1) Buzzsaw
2) Hair Nation
3) Maxim
4) Howard
5) Playboy

Who the hell said anything about porn? And yes I know exactly what the magazine is all about because I've had a subscription pretty much since it came out. There's no logical reason whatsoever for them to be playing radio-edited music and having call screeners telling the callers to not curse over the air. If you read the magazine you would know they don't censor the articles so having a "clean cut" version of MR doesn't make any sense. They've had ample opportunities to turn this channel into something great, but unfortunately they continually choose to NOT follow the format of the magazine.
