I've not heard anything back from Alan Colmes or anyone at his website. So he tells us to contact Sirius at such and such phone # with our concerns, we tell him it's not an effective way to voice our concerns, and he tells us to contact Sirius at same such and such number. Screw him. At this point I'm just hoping they're making some effort to fill his time slot with a quality voice from the left i.e. NOT stephanie miller

They could also replay Michelangelo Signorile on a Left channel. His show is almost all politics but I can never listen to him because of the time slot.

It's probably impossible, but I'd love to hear Keith Olbermann on SIRIUS.

BTW, I haven't read any mention of Lying ----suckers on SIRIUS Stars. It's hilarious! But Mojo Nixon is more libertarian than left.
Sirius refugee to XM checking in here... The reason most of us left Sirius is NOT just for Air America leaving Sirius. It is because of the totally mindless programming efforts of Sirius Left or any other alternative channel they might have added with the leaving of Air America. Sirius Left was actually BETTER when they were the only progressive talk show option for the satellite services before Air America came on the scene. They carried Thom Hartmann in full in the mornings and had Mike Malloy on in the evenings then when XM had nothing. They have to realize that they are in a seriously depleted competitive situation and need to ramp it up a lot more than they have done. The only constructive thing they have done since the Air America deal was to add Bill Press, and that is too early for most of us here on the West Coast to listen to.

I still think something like adding an additional channel or replacing Sirius Left with a lineup something like the following (PST times here):

10:00 PM - 1:00 AM - Bernie Ward (live)
1:00 AM - 5:00 AM - Ray Taliafierro (live)
5:00 AM - 6:00 AM - Democracy Now (live)
6:00 AM - 9:00 AM - Stephanie Miller (live)
9:00 AM - noon - Thom Hartmann (live)
Noon - 3:00 PM - Ed Schultz (live)
3:00 PM - 6:00 PM - Young Turks (live)
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM - Democracy Now (repeat)
7:00 PM - 10:00 PM - Alan Colmes (*)

Alan Colmes (and perhaps Ed Schultz as well) I'm not so sure about as I'd like to see them move to other channels. At least Alan Colmes should move over to Fox like he's doing on XM (provided that Sirius is able to offer a Fox channel like what is happening on XM). Ideally I'd like Mike Malloy to take Colmes' slot, but that not being possible, perhaps a repeat or Bill Press or Lynn Samuels in that slot would do.

A lineup like this would also offer a lot more "live" content where people could *really* call in to it as opposed to just listen to something that happened in the past. There's a better option to "listen radio" than satellite radio out there now. That's called doing podcasting on ipods or other MP3 players, which gives you more choices if you aren't going to listen to something live.

Alan says the number to try and save the show, or perhaps help it to return once it's gone is 212-584-5100 .. press 2 and leave a message.. it's the phone number for a program director at Sirius or some title similar to that

Agree on Bennett. He's a reluctant member of Sirius Left in the first place, rarely discusses politics or policy, and the show isn't entertaining enough to listen to for its own sake. Sirius needs to get its act together with regard to liberal talk.
