Default What is the best "Decades" Channel on Sirius?

Personally, I like the Big 80s the best, probably because I was born in 1972, but I think Totally 70s is a close second. Then 60s Vibrations-that's more my parents' music. I am not as fond of "The Pulse" and "Sirius Gold" because they are not really true "decade channels"- Gold plays stuff from both the 50s and 60s, and the pulse is both the 90s and 00s. I wish that Gold would be repaced by an all-50s channel, and that "The Pulse" would be split up into two channels, the 90s and the 00s (or 2000s), which would play music from the current decade that is not really current-we have Hits 1 for the really currentr stuff. Many people have complained about the 90s and now format of "The Pulse" before-mainly the "now" part. That is a dead-horse topic. But Sirius doesn't seem to be listening.

The Big 80's is my favorite decades channel, but I think that Totally 70's is the best decades channel on Sirius. The Big 80's tends to play the same songs over and over again. 60's Vibrations could also mix up the playlist a bit better. To me, Totally 70's really represents all that was 70's music, from Led Zeppelin to the Bee Gees to Jim Croce. A much improved channel in the 3+ years I've been listening to Sirius.

I have been listening to Sirius 8 a lot these past few months. Just been having a craving for the music I grew up with. Those songs bring back a lot of memories from my teen years...

But I still like Sirius 6 the best. I missed the '60s by just 17 days...

Sirius Gold has a better playlist, deeper- than 60s Vibrations, covers the first decade of rock n roll up to the Beatles era. If Vibrations would play more songs that hit the charts it could be a lot better, far too many repeats and not playing all the songs that were hits from 64-69.

Totally '70s is my favorite, but I also enjoy the Big '80s as well and they are honestly almost too close to call.

I usually go to the 70's channel first but then slip over to the 50's.

Personally I think that totally 70's and the big 80's are the best 2 decades station on sirius, And I like them both equally. Since I can only vote for one I chose The Big 80's just because I remember growing up in the 80's as a kid, and all the awsome tv shows from that decade.

Big 80's is my favorite decades channel. I have been listening to 70's recently and have been impressed. All of Sirius' decades channels are VERY well done and just hope they don't change once the merger crap takes hold.

I also agree that I would like Gold to come up with more of the 50's music ( more then they have now ).

We wait for one day and we get three hours ( I know that they do play the 50's here and there throughout the day ) but that's really not how they advertised it when they put out the info about the 50's music ), but then that's Sirius..........

At least they did right by putting "TJ" on after they took "Bob Thomas" from us.

Hope All is great with Mr. Thomas...............................

I can listen to any of the decades channels! My only complaint is the Pulse being dedicated to 90's AND NOW. The "now" portion I believe is well enough covered by Sirius 1. And just as I change the channel from 9 when I hear Leona Lewis, I'm sure some 14-yr-old is changing channel 9 when they hear Everything But The Girl. Hopefully Sirius will consider dedicating 9 to just 90's. It was a great time for music. Well, except for Third Eye Blind, that is.

Love,
eli
