And maybe it is just me, but it seems like they are tweaking the music mix, a bit more modern stuff than when it first signed on.

Hmmm..I liked the older stuff...I hope Sirius doesn't forget that there are still some older listers that enjoy that as well..I heard a lot of weird mixes over this past weekend.."Get Down" by Gilbert O'Sullivan into "Live and Let Die" - Wings, into Wishing You Were Here by Chicago..just too many Top 40 based 70's songs for my tastes..I liked the Nat King Cole, and Carpenters, and Niel Diamond, Nelson Roddle, Herb Alpert stuff..you know, cigar lounge music..Is there another channel (uh..stream) where they went? A "Big Band" channel would be too far the other way with Cab Calloway's "Minnie the Moocher" and old old Glenn Miller songs...Post WW2 era popular hits are my favorite..reminiscent of the music my parents listened to in the late 40's thru early 60's ending about 1964. When cigarettes, and martinis were the order of the day, and women wore dresses and actually cared about thier appearance..When men were seen wearing ties on weekend and opened doors and most of America was reasonablt polite, and happy with thier lot in life....but I digress..sorry

sounds to me what you want is what I want...a real LOUNGE stream, as Galaxy used to occasionally do before Sirius Sessions days.

And oh, yeah, seems to be far fewer PSA's on the news streams, as well. I do think they are listening to us!

I, too, have noticed a tweaking of the format in the past week... more 70s and 80s. I have mixed feelings about the adjustment. I do feel the format had room to expand its playlist. I just hope nothing was eliminated to make room for the new adds.

Wasn't the Galaxy similiar to Special X on XM? Themed music, holiday music, etc. I didn't get Sirius then because they didn't have a radio for home use. I still had XM during that time

I would appreciate if any past or current listeners to Movin' Easy would give it a fresh listen and comment on its current programming.

There is no question in my mind that it has gone through a **major** tweak in the last couple of weeks... moving its core focus up about one decade.

I like what they have added buy miss what they dropped... some of the older middle of the road Top 40.

What do you think?

Those were very repressive times for many Americans.

You may be happier with XM's 24.

I personally love the changes they made to Moving EZ. Some of the older stuff is still thrown in, but they just don't focus on it like they once did. I find that they don't repeat nearly as much as many of the other streams do either, so that is really nice.

I am trying to listen to it right now but this is not my type of music. I usually try to listen to different genres from time to time but I can tell this is not a stream I will be listening to very much. Johnny Mathis' Chances ares is on right now and I don't know if I will be able to get through it without changing. But for those who do like it, Enjoy

I have noticed the changes too, the mellow oldies 50s-70s is ok. I do like that they broadened their playlist, but dont drop the older stuff either. It is nice to hear a "lost" time period of mellow adult pop hits. Tweaking is fine, just dont overdue it. Mainly, do not drop the classic instrumental hits of the past... reminds me of my parents....LOL

Couldn't agree with you more AZJoe1...

I, too, like the new additions, but, plead so Sirius, please don't drop any of the older stuff "to make room for it". I, also, particularly like hearing some of the old instrumental Top 40 Hits from the likes of Ferrante & Teicher and Nelson Riddle.

Any other past or present Stream #4 Movin' Easy listeners... what do you think about the recent tweaks to this stream?

I like Movin Easy the way it is now.

I also liked it the way it was.

The one thing the way it is now makes clear is how badly SIRIUS needs a REAL 40's station. Swing Street ain't it. XM's 40's on 4 is FAR superior.

Sigh.

That and Cinemagic and Audiovisions are the only things I see on XM that are superior in the music arena.

I have been hearing more balance in the years of the music the last few days... more older tunes being mixed back in to balance the more recent tunes added in the past month.

Any one else noticing any changes or have any other observations>

I've noticed the change as well, I like to hear some of the older stuff as well, I think they're playing to little of it.

There was a time I wouldn't have been caught dead listening to music like that but I really enjoy it now. Jeez ! I'm even beginning to like country, it's more relevant to me than a lot of the rock music put out now-a-days.
