Default KUDOS TO MOVIN' EASY

While I certainly haven't listened to all the streams Sirius offers I have listened quite a bit to the "Movin' Easy" channel and the "Totally '70s" channel. I certainly agree with my fellow SBS members who feel the '70s channel has improved. I still don't feel it plays enough pop music, but it's better than it was by far!

I do want to applaud the "Movin' Easy" channel, however. The musical mix expertly balances music from all genres within the '60s, '70s, and '80s constraints. The music perfectly fits the title of the stream, easy listening, calming, relaxing, feel-good, nostalgic tunes. The stream jockys are present but NEVER overpowering. And so far I have not experienced any "ramping." All of these elements for me make a completely enjoyable listening experience. To whomever the programming director of the "Movin' Easy" channel is, I offer a simple "thank you" for the excellent job you are doing. The "Totally '70s" channel can certainly learn a lot from how business is done on the "Movin' Easy" channel. Keep up the good work guys and gals.

Moving EZ is well programmed. You can thank Haneen for that She also programs Starlight and The Pulse as far as I know.

Next to the "slowly being fixed" Totally 70s stream, MovinEZ is my favorite. It is a nice stream to listen to at work because I hum or sing along and it fits in nicely with the office atmosphere.

Movin Easy is very easy to take, it brings back memories of 3 decades...and is programmed very well. The light rock/adult contemporary sounds of the past 30 years is one format that shouldnt be messed with too much. When you have it right- leave it alone. IMHO

Gold and 60s Vibrations were the streams that got me in to Sirius, but when I'm driving home from the park-and-ride in Central NJ after a hard day's work, Movin' Easy is perfect for the ride home. I usually listen Monday through Thrusday evenings. It helps me to arrive home relaxed. Just one more reason among many to stay away from FM radio.

That and there is not a whole lot of radio in Central NJ. It takes a really strong reciever in a car because I know the stock Jenson in my Jeep XJ struggles with trying to pull a signal from NYC, Philly, Allentown-Easton.
But this is from someone who has always been told that Philly is one hour south of the Northern NJ facility which located just outside of NYC. After 2.5 hours on the road, I came to the end of the NJ Turnpike and paid the full toll for the full length drive and realized how full of crap somone in our company was when they thought that NYC metro work would travel south to Philly. (sigh) I think the more colorful paraphrase of the above comment to my boss last month was nail number four in someones coffin. Might have been mine. Not really sure yet.

The only station that matters to me in Central NJ is WCTC News/Talk 1450. They carry Rutgers Scarlet Knights football and basketball. The morning show "Wake Up Central Jersey" is hosted by Jay Sorensen, also known as "Big Jay" on 60s Vibations. After my morning fix of local news and information, it's on to the dog!

Big Jay is a great jock on Sirius!! I like his presentation and style. It says alot that some of these jocks on the dog have followings on other radio outlets....I know we have an ex local jock now heard on brand X on the 80s channel. It is good to hear familar voices and see they have a national gig now.

I recently got Sirius and am disappointed with Movin' Easy. I wish there was another easy listening channel that is "real easy". Movin' Easy has too much singing and light pop/rock. There needs to be a real "Easy" channel.

I wouldn't change a thing about Movin' Easy. I think it's great the way it is.

I think you are confused about formats. Moving Easy and then Beautiful Music. Moving EZ is just what it is suppose to be and it programmed with a bit deeper playlist than most channels. One of my favs for sure.

Escape on XM is easy/beautiful music. I enjoy this type music too but SIRIUS doesn't have a dedicated channel like this.

Sunny on XM is sort of a blend between the two.

Smile Music, Music, Music And Then Some

I told myself that I had to explore some of the other great channels, so a couple of weeks ago I went over to the other side. I felt like I was cheating on the Doo-Wop part of me.

I have lesten to both Sirius Love and Movin Easy and I fell in love with both. They play songs that I haven't heard for a long time (my fault) and their selections are really great. The music is beautiful.

I think that part of me was afraid that if I left Sirius Gold they just might take it off because they were getting a low rating, because actually that's what Jay Clark e-mailed me months ago stating that that may be the reason the Doo-Wop Drive In may be cancelled, so I didn't want to leave.

Well now that I have taken the chance I'm really glade I did.
