I just picked up my 1st Sirius radio this weekend, mainly cos of Stern, but also cos of Radio 1.

As soon as I walked out of the store, I hooked it into my car, got it activated and drove the 45 min journey home listening to Sara Cox on Radio 1, and I couldn't have been happier!

I've been in Canada for just over 7 years now, and I have to say that I'm not a fan of the radio stations here. I've grown up in England listening to Radio 1 and its huge variety of music that they always play (and the commercials that they NEVER play :0) so it was a bit of a culture shock coming to Canada and having to be forced to listen to "new rock", "classic rock", or the teeny bopper stations (with all those commercials).

I'd get my Radio 1 fix listening through the internet, but now that I have it in my car I'm extra happy and I love the fact that it's time-shifted 5 hours.

I'm hoping, that if this is succesful, Sirius will consider adding more BBC radio stations, like Radio 2 which also has some great programming too. But for now, I'm completly satisfied

Thank you Sirius!

I noticed this too. To really notice it all one needs to do is flip back and forth between neighboring channels. It's night and day. I called Sirius customer care-less to let them know and they basically lived up to what I call them. I was essentially rushed off the phone after I waited 15 minutes to talk to someone.

I noticed this morning during the Chris Moyles show that the SQ had cleared up a bit. I enjoy his bits, and some of the music. I'm glad that its back to a listenable state, although I think the sound quality of the entire service is lacking, and that is an understatement.

Default BBC Radio 1 is Awesome!

BBC Radio 1 is one of the reasons why switched to Sirius from XM. The time shift is fantastic. XM has almost no international programming thats worth listening to. BBC World Serive, CBC Radio 1, World Radio network makes it all worth it. Also, with Fox "news" gone it makes the deal much sweeter.

Especially Chris Moyles always woke me up at 4AM Pacific!

Does anyone know what happened to Radio 1 this morning. On my drive to work all I got was a loud buzzing noise. Tried it a few times too.

Hopefully it's back on for lunchtime.

Don't know what happened to it, but I got the same thing. I usually listen to the Moyles Show over breakfast, and got the buzzing noise too.

I don't know when they fixed it, but I heard Jo Whiley at 10:30.

Agreed!!
I also have listened to the BBC feed via internet for quite some while and was glad to see Sirius add BBC1---- I wish they would add more UK feeds (BBC2 natuarally!) I am surprised that XM has not added VirginRadio or Capitol from London to counter the Sirius BBC addition-maybe Sirius can someday add more, as I love British "stuff" any additions are appreciated!

This page of the Radio 1 website lists the dance DJs; you can then look up their times either in the banners on their pages or in the schedule.

Annie Mac is brilliant.

I'd love it if SIRIUS added BBC2 and 6Music. Some of the best pop/rock DJs are on those channels.[/url]

Radio 1 plays some of the best dance music out there. The Essential Selection with Pete Tong is great.

I think that Scott Mills is was more talented than Moyles. Moyles tries too hard, but it seems to come more naturally from Mills.

I look forward to listening to Mills on my way home from work. Laura's diary is strangely addictive! And I agree about the Wonder Years that he plays on Fridays. It's great to hear all those songs. And I love the comments that people text in when the Wonder Years is on "The wonder years are so good tonight that I just let out a little bit of wee!".

Yeah I see where you're coming from there

As for the listener comments, gotta love our British humour

Right, I'm off home now... 15 mins of Newsbeat before the music... Might just put my ipod on for 15mins first
