Sometimes I really like the stuff on The Pulse. Other times, like last night, it was just horrible. It all depends on the dj.

Sirius still needs:

Hot AC (like XM's "Mix")
90s (like XM's "90s on 9")
00s (like XM's "Kiss XM")

Being an xm sub., these are all good stations. I like Mix, but the only downfall to them is that they are somewhat repetitive since they aren't the 90's and now. Other than that, it's all good.

Being an xm sub., these are all good stations. I like Mix, but the only downfall to them is that they are somewhat repetitive since they aren't the 90's and now like Sirius is. They just need to work on adding more 90's alternative to the mix instead of playing just the newest stuff over again (kinda like Alt. nation I guess). There's still a lot of good hot ac songs out there that were hits that aren't played. Overall, the Mix is a great station where I don't have to hear Mariah, J. LO, and all that other stuff that you do have to put up with on The Pulse since there's no 90's station.

Just tuning in from regular FM radio, I think the Pulse is great. I'd hate to see things get so categorized that there are not enough mix channels. I subscribed to Sirius because the Christmas music was driving me crazy on my local FM, in late October !!

I'm not a fan of the Pulse mostly because they play new songs that aren't all that great...they should have an exclusively 90s station of pop hits! They dropped the ball and need to fix this.

Agreed...I listened to Kiss on XM and really enjoyed the deep playlists. They have to step to the plate.

Pulse needs to be strictly 90's and maybe I'll listen to it as much as I listen to the Big 80's.

Pulse also needs more grunge on it. It was a big part of the 90's and they don't play alot of it.

I like the pulse, but did like it better about a year ago when it was more "Hot A/C" focused. Starlight meanwhile has become more Hot A/C focused than it used to be so these two channels together work pretty well for me.

XM has Sirius beat when it comes to the 90's.... That is one of the main reasons why I still listen to my XM....Overall, I still like Sirius better

Sirius really does need to make this channel the "official" 90's decade channels and stop mixing in some of the newer stuff.

Plenty of other channels for the newer stuff to be played on.

I suspect that we'll see channel 9 renamed to something like The 90s Connection and the format shifted to 90s hits in the next real lineup change (April-ish?), with The Pulse continuing as the Hot AC stream and moved to a different channel.

Totally agree here. I was hoping they would have a solely 90s station as my high school/college years were 92-2000. Being able to hear rock, pop, dance, whatever from the period would really be nice. The way it is now I barely listen to it because it's too much "adult contemporary" stuff (I assume that's what AC means). I'd rather listen to the 80s station since they do play all genres from the decade.
