The Pulse isn't so bad. If it was more like the Mix on XM, playing hot AC from the 90s to today I think it would be an improvement. It doesn't need to add dance or rap as that is quite plentiful on Hits 1 and many other genre-specific channels.

They should turn star light in to another hits one but a broader play list and then use the pulse for the 90's.
