Broadway song is on now... day by day from the Godspell musical. And what I said earlier about channels to add:

The Pulse
Hits One
The Beat
Sirius Disorder
Alt Nation
Radio 1
Spa 73
The Globe
Broadway's Best
Sirius Blues
Underground Garage

4 of the 11 have been added to the playlist, which make me happy... now if we could just get an occasional song from Radio 1(well known brit-pop hit or three perhaps?), Spa 73(Evangelis/Chariots of Fire for example), The Beat(Darude/Sandstorm, Dancing Queen remix from the QAF soundtrack, etc.), and Sirius blues(plenty of well known blues songs that people just don't know the titles of)

since I love this channel so much NOW, here's a list of the channels that I have heard representin' on the Shuffle:

-Starlite
-Sirius Gold
-'60s Vibrations
-Totally '70s
-Big '80s
-The Pulse
-Elvis Radio
-Classic Vinyl
-Classic Rewind
-The Spectrum
-Buzzsaw
-Alt Nation
-First Wave
-Hair Nation
-Sirius Disorder
-Margaritaville
-Reggae
-The Strobe
-Backspin
-Heart and Soul
-Soul Town
-New Country
-Prime Country
-Roadhouse
-Outlaw Country
-Planet Jazz
-Jazz Cafe
-Standard Time
-Broadway's Best

Total: 29 out of 63(not including shuffle) channels. Pretty good coverage. Feel free to add to the list.

I seen one by LOVE, James Ingram and a couple SPA 73 Enya and Secret Garden.

I don't suspect you'll hear anything from BBC1 because that channel isn't programmed by Sirius and their library isn't available for Sirius to pull from unless Sirius just happens to have the song. I guess they could do a long talk segment and give BBC1 credit for it.

So now we can add Sirius Love, Spa 73, and now Octane with an Offspring song to the list, making it 32 out of 63, or over half the music channels. Not bad. Not bad at all.

For BBC Radio 1, they publish their top 50 songs every week. It isn't that hard to find a dozen or two songs to put in the playlist and change those out every month.

One thing that I noticed today when I was in my truck was when I listen to Super Shuffle the "Info" button on (RB1 Radio see below) the screen lights up, and when you select "Info" there it shows you what other channels that song plays on. This is the only channel it does that on, I was like, that's something I have never seen before.

Do you mean where it says "also heard on Octane on 20"?, or does it say "20, 21, 28, 9"? If it's the former, most, if not all, the PNPs display this, along with the Panasonic FM mods using the little used composer area.

It displays also heard on. I will try and take a pic to show you. Needless to say it has never done this before.

I really like this channel!! I love so many kinds of music, and I get to hear them all on one channel. I think there's something cool about hearing Perry Como followed by Guns 'n Roses!! I love it!!

I really want to like this new channel as I do enjoy 101.1 Jack-FM in NYC however I find I can't leave it on for more than about 20 minutes as I get aggrivated with the music. Maybe I am just used to hearing exactly what I am in the mood for with all the other channels. It is a preset, but CH and SPA are getting more of my time.

This channel has grown on me from my initial response. It is heavy on certain genres at a time. For example I listened all day on Sunday and at times it was heavy on classic rock and others on Soul. My GF told me to chill about the criticism. She said it's just like a real shuffle CD player. Heck she's right, given a play list there will statistically always be a winner in a single genre. But they played some Parliment funk and won me over later with some AC/DC Big Balls (as noted by another listener. ) and several deeper cuts including some New Wave.

I did get frustrated a couple of times and turned over to another channel but I do that with EVERY channel (except Hard Attack). This one is growing and it seems to me the music has been getting better as I hope they are tweaking the lineup.

Hate to admit it, I love the JACK-FM format and hate SuperShuffle. I absolutely cannot stand country music and am not a huge fan of broadway and some other types of music that are mixed in. I can't leave this stream on and enjoy it without wanting to chuck the radio out of the window when Hank Williams comes on.

No offense meant to country lovers, I'd rather Sirius did more the JACK format and even consider adding a JACK/country type steam for country fans.

The JACK folks mention the iPod generation as their target. While I'm sure some folks like the variety of SS, I can't believe that there are that many.

Well take a long hard deep breath and look at the poll numbers, they speak for themselves.

I am totally happy that Sirius is playing several genres as this is what I thought most of us wanted and it appears to be the consensus when you read through the thread.
